Is this a sarcastic question?

In realistic terms, making Mexico part of the US would actually exacerbate the racial tensions already existing in the US, while placing the burden for Mexico's economy problems upon the rest of the country.

Unfortunately, while it sounds like it could be an easy way to raise the standard of living for all Mexicans, and stop the problem of illegal migration, there are too many differences between these two countries to make it feasible - and who says Mexico would even agree?

This would mean that all Mexican people would have to give up their identity as Mexican citizens, and become part of a country which is culturally disparate.

I don't believe that it would work socially, let alone in terms of laws, economy, politics etc...

Mexico is actually quite a beautiful country. If many Mexicans want to come to the U.S., it is solely because there are currently better economic opportunities in America.

Many people in the U.S. think that the best way to curb immigration is to build barriers and fortify borders, but the truth of it is that economic assistance in building the Mexican economy, and by extension improving the lives of Mexican citizens, is the best way to deal with the illegal immigration issue.

Mexico is a proud independent nation, with no designs whatsoever on becoming a U.S. state. If we really want to address illegal immigration, we should focus less on what brings Mexican workers to America, and more on what would make Mexican families better able to have a higher standard of living in their own homeland.

well if 99 pct of Mexicans come to the states, what do we need Mexico for. It sounds like a funnel sucking all our wealth, but then perhaps not, between Mexico and Canada, we are about 80pct self sufficient on oil.

See the liberals dont want us self sufficient, because reality would mean, that if the middle east oil gets threatened we wouldnt care, all their crooked corrupt liberal countries would be at the mercy of the islamo facists. They know they need us to protect them ensure the oil flow.

Mexicans aren't the only ones coming, its everyone south of the border....many who came to look for a job in Mexico. Also many Mexicans don't want to be a citizen of the US, they like to come and make quick cash than move back down to Mexico...etc. where the cost of living is much less.

No, and I feel they should return to their country and work with it. I don't believe they should leave their country and come to the united states and ruin our economy. They wouldn't stand for it if it were the other way around, so why should we. No, I don't feel it should be in any relationship to the united states.

Don't need it, it would cost way too much to fix it, and clean up all the std's, and then to work on the cartels and then the people, too much of a sickness, we would need to nuke it and start all over with it..
