Do you really think that those ridiculous liberal laws will stop the criminals from getting them, and that it's good for only the criminals to have them while the honest people are helpless?
Britain is insane regarding this, like the liberals over here.

The majority of guns that are being used are re-activated or converted air guns.
We recently had the chief of police in Warwickshire on the telly showing two ways to convert Brocock ME 39's to fire a 22 bullet (SCHMUCK!!!) The Brocock has been singled out as being responsible for the most deaths recently.
Since getting more involved in Europe, an with the different countries that have joined, the barriers on restricted travel an movement within the E.U. are virtually non existent.
Anybody with a passport can buy a pump action shotgun in France at a sporting store, or even the supermarket, there's no legal stock length or barrel length so you can get them sawn off pop it in ya backpack an walk back on the ferry to the U.K.
The stupidity of the government to ban handguns in the U.K. based on a pressure group was hilarious in my opinion, why on earth do they believe that people willing to commit crime with guns would go "oh there illegal now, I won't use them" gun crimes up 40% since the ban, well that worked didn't it.
De-activated firearms are a big problem as well, often there not as hard to reactivate as you think.
Anybody with around £300 can buy a firearm in most cities in England, you'd be surprised at how easy they are to come by.
No its not something I'm into, but unless your deaf an blind its everywhere. OK well maybe just in certain circles. I guarantee ask any teenager on street an they know someone who knows or can get, its frightening.
There used to be a bit more control when guns where legal, when the ban came in there was a lot of unregistered weapons and a lot of people chose not to destroy them an off loaded them.

Britain has some of the strictest gun laws in the world. However the government tend to overlook the fact that criminals by their very definition, do not obey the law. These gun laws only affect people who acquire firearms legally (like me)

So does California , home of the drive by.....where I live I can shoot my guns all night long , and it is not even considered disturbing the peace......but know this I am not some yahoo gun wielding hillbilly that has no common sense ..I respect my neighbors by not doing this all night , I have firearms training through state law enforcement training , and know proper gun safety , (guns do not kill people) , ...........Criminals on the other hand , they break the laws it is their job duty to do so ..you can not be a law abiding criminal ( it's against their oath ) do you think because the law states someone can not have a gun the criminals will listen . criminals can get more illegal things than an honest person can legal things .....that is how they get them......

Criminals always follow the law, too. That's the innate flaw with gun control...criminals don't follow the law, so they get the guns regardless. At least with a system like america's you can usually track the gun down via dealer records, etc.

I notice that the americans here who rant on about the right to bear arms never mention the number of people who die every year from guns and most of them legal guns fired by children and others accidently.Whilst deaths by firearms in the UK dont usually get out of double figures just police officer shootings in the US can be in treble figures and not from shootouts but officers killed at simple road traffic stops. If we examples the US is the last place to look.

once again a nation has found out that when they outlaw guns, only outlaws will have them. i am not British. look at the IRA, anyone who has a fight will acquire arms by any means at their disposal. be it steal them purchase them and what ever, have you learned from this, when you out law anything, the ones who do not abide by the law will prey upon the unarmed. maybe you should move to America. if you feel unsafe there. come here buy a gun, celebrate your right to own a gun here. enough.

The liberals are under this wild impression that criminals buy their guns at gun shops, get permits, etc. So to "stop crime" they ban guns and the only one who gets hurt in this is the legitimate gun owner. Criminals don't get their guns from gun shops or through other legal means! They get them from stealing them, or through the black market.
Criminals will ALWAYS have weapons. Why do you think American cops are armed? We don't have to call in somewhere and have weapons brought to us! We realize that criminals are going to procure weapons, so we are ready for that scenario.

Gun crime in Britain? Impossible! Why, government made the possession of handguns illegal, so it can't be happening!
