cons - too much tax money being spent on medical, education and benefits for illegals.
Illegals not paying fair share of taxes and employers getting cheap labor hurting other labor areas (unfair completion), Too much money being sent to other countries from non taxed wages by illegals. Quality of eduction and public services being compromised.

Immigration is not a problem the illegals are

The main issue is a simple one, 'Should the United States enforce or continue to ignore the current laws?'

That really is what is at the heart of the matter.

The 'pro' side will tell you that it is all about poor people coming to have a better life (or something similar).

The 'anti' side many times will tell you that is because of not wanting someone of color.

Point is that it isn't about either of those points. It is about laws not being enforce and groups of people that think that they can ignore those laws and reap benefits from doing so - and others that are against such.

Right now - no one is dealing with anything much. They are starting to - but baby steps still taking place.

I will say that the 'pro' side evidently is a tad upset with the way things are turning in Congress since from news reports, it is said that there is now over 400 'pro' lobbyists to press for their view over the 8 (or is it 10) that are for the 'anti' view....

As more and more of the problems start to surface in more and more communities across the country - the cry to address the problem is going to get to a point that Congress will indeed have to address the issues or face more of them being voted out than at the last election.

My view is that if the 'pro' view point is so in favor of such - why don't THEY step up to the plate, open THEIR HOMES, and help them vs. having all taxpayers do so? Sort of the, 'Put your money where your mouth is' approach.

I have yet to have any take me up on such a suggestion that was 'pro'. Couldn't you just see Kennedy or Bush with a house full of illegals next door and them doing all they suggest and support the gov. pay for? Even go so far as to help them by allowing them to live in his home? Of course that will happen when donkeys fly......

Legal - Good. Illegal - Bad.

ALSO

On the Fourteenth Amendment we must pass a law that defines:

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,"

as:

"All persons born to parents who, at the time of the birth,

having followed proper procedure,

had officially been granted citizenship or legal permanent residency in and by the United States,

had sworn allegiance to support the United States above any other nation,

had proven themselves gainfully employed and financially fit to raise a child without assistance from any organization,

had provided verifiable proof that they were not guilty of any crime,

and, had registered and been accepted as a resident of the state and of the county in which the child was born"

I have no problem with immigration. I feel good about the fact that other people see the US as a beacon of hope and feel they can come and be secure.

I do have a problem with illegal immigration, however. That's breaking the law before you even get started in this country. If you don't respect that law how can we expect you to follow other laws?

Don't know of any "main issues and arguments with regard to immigration".
There are a lot of "main issues and arguments with regard to illegal aliens in the U.S."
Illegal aliens are not immigrants though. Immigrants follow legal channels and are in the U.S. LEGALLY.
Which are you talking about??

People slating ilegal immigrants should try living in Mexico. Is it fair on the people that are born there in poverty dont have the chance to free themselves of it. A mexican working in America will earn 5 times the amount they would in mexico, is that so bad? To be fair America was founded by immigrants that killed all the native people so what gives them the right to pick and choose who comes into the country?

Immigrants must be documented so that there will be no confusion regarding employment, taxes and welfare.
