My Mom and I were invited to a ball after the election because she is a 9/11 widow...and I refused to go. I am trying to decide what I would have done if I met him. I probally would spit on him, but then I don't think I would have a chance with his daughters.

I can imagine that being a former P.O.W. will have plenty of sway during a debate between candidates on the topic of "war."

(For you liberals who never served, P.O.W. means "prisoner of war")

Being a POW holds so much value to the American people I can't imagine how his Democratic opponent will handle it except to say thank you for his service. Any ideas?

If there is still a state of Israel in fifty years, what will it be like? Still committed to a single religion, or become a religion-free democracy with equal rights for all? If all its people have equal rights, will Israel have a Palestinian prime minister when the Palestinian people there are the majority? Will this be achieved without violence and disruption and injustice? Will somebody like Nelson Mandela arise to lead Israel towards a peaceful future free of racism and discrimination?

I have lived at the same place for 10 years and always have received my mail around 11:30 am in the past two years it has been getting later and later.
Today it arrived at 13:50 and I called the Postwatch team to complain and they said "mail should be delivered before 13:30", so my wife called Royal mail customer services to complain and they said "we can't as they have delivered our mail and as long as they deliver in the mid afternoon there is no reason to complain", I then called Postwatch back and explained what had just been said and they replied with "As long as they make one delivery a day there are no grounds for complaint".
Now is this just me or am I getting told a load of rubbish, so basically our mail could turn up at 19:00 and this is okay, Royal mail what a load of crap. why oh why can't we go back to pigeons?.
Anybody else had problems or know a way of making a complaint?

I read an article yesterday that stated the government approved to allow a college in Boston to grow marijuana for "research". Do you think that by the government allowing them to grow no more than two acers of pot, that they are one step closer to legalizing marijuana? Do you think it should be legalized?

McCain Courting Christian Conservatives
Wednesday, February 14, 2007 8:00 AM EST
The Associated Press
By JENNIFER TALHELM

WASHINGTON (AP) — To forgive is divine. To forget may be asking too much of religious conservatives when it comes to Sen. John McCain.

The Republican presidential hopeful is working hard to repair relations with conservative Christian activists, whose support could be critical to winning the GOP nomination. But they remain skeptical that he sincerely shares their values.

Why didn't America become involved when communism was taking control of Europe? To argue it was a system and not a country, then explain why America didn't become involved when Russian tanks rolled in Hungary in 1956? Isn't the reason we went to war against Iraq the first time because they invaded Kuwait?
