It is certainly someone who cares about your well being, and at the same time it is very unfortunate that this has to happen.

But why is this country with all its resources and wealth, making its people go to this length, the really strange thing is most Americans just can't see or understand that other countries in the western world, and even your neighbor Canada make sure you don't have to rely on friends or sell everything you have just to keep alive.

Most Americans I speak to don't understand a national healthcare system, or see it as socialistic, which again for some strange reason represents some sort of evil, or think they will have to pay a load in tax to cover this, and would rather pay loads in insurance cover, which millions can not afford, and still have to pay a hefty amount in co-pay for a serious operation.

Please don't get me wrong, this is not an American bashing session, I really like the people of this country, but I wish they would realize that their system of healthcare is the most unfair and uncaring system in the western world.

Depends.

In the right situation, a true friend might be the one that does not cover your health care.

Spending money is easy.

Being the bad guy in order to be a good friend is hard.

Let's see. How does the saying go?
A good friend will bail you out of jail.
A true friend will be sitting next to you in jail, saying, "That was fun."
