Don't be confused, there is nothing "golden" about war, or this country.

I fail to see the similarities between beheading prisoners and showing it on television, dragging bodies of soldiers through the streets, singing and dancing while doing it and flying planes into building with civilians and how the prisoners are being treated at Gitmo. There is not an argument there.

Well, per Geneva Conventions, we had every right to summarily execute these irregular combatants when we apprehended them. That we have not done so is a demonstration of our humanity. However, some number of these will get the death penalty at their military tribunals.
The fact is that these people are not signatories to the Geneva conventions, nor have they acted in any accord with the Geneva conventions. By these actions of theirs, they have forfeited their right to the protections of the Geneva conventions.
Let's at least recognize this basic fact.

the only way it applys is in total opposition . Do unto others came out of the christain Bible and all Americans are not christains--right? I guess the ones who claim to be christains and support war must go back into the old testment and hang on "eye for an eye" lol. Happy Valentines Day which is a day of love --a good thing

Your sad.
Your "claim" to be a veteran is either false or you were a slacker and couldn't hack it.
We are the most humane nation in the world when compared to everyone else, so suck it up.
Your a wimp, plain and simple. What happened at Gitmo was no worse than College hazings.

i dont know what Gitmo is. by now its no surprise that you were going to get hammered here with that kind of ?. it is people like you that cause a soldier to get court martial b/c they shot an enemy on the battlefield to many times. i will tell you this that no one needs to abuse another while in prison. what are they going to do to you now? i wouldnt give them much more than soup and water and thats even american prisoners in our jails but there is no need to harass or abuse them. the civil rights, human rights, NAACP racists ******* and anyone else who corrupts justice and true way of life need to go to war during drafts. save the real warriors for after they're all dead. you can be kind to a prisoner but know he's your enemy. no one knows what it means to be a warrior anymore. honor, courage, slay your enemy, survive. those human, civil rights people are giving liberties to people who dont deserve them. if you are in battle, and your enemy is trying to kill you, why wouldnt you fill him full of lead. how can a soldier get in trouble for killing an enemy b/c he shot him too many times? why do the men and women in our jail systems have tv, basketball courts, weightlifting, three hefty square meals a day. its like your taking a criminal who will hurt, rob, rape you and instead of punishing him, your making him stronger so when he gets out, he can hurt, rob, or rape even more. THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION: the military doesn t have a selection process that is based on honor or morals. its only based on can you pick up a gun and follow my order. so when you get a couple of ***** monkeys watching over prisoners those monkeys are going to hook electric wires to genitals, stick a broom up someone's a ss, pile of bunch of guys together naked. this is b/c this is what amuses MONKEYS. WE NEED A BETTER SELECTION PROCESS IN THE MILITARY. WE NEED REAL WARRIORS. not saying that all of today's soldiers are retards b/c there are some honorable men and women in there. as americans we need to support those men and women. but we need a better selection process.

Apparantly you never have seen 60 minutes or 20/20 check gitmo out. They get better treatment there than people here in the US. Why don't you go to N. Korea or Iran loozer.

How does "do unto others" factor into a war? You don't sound like any veteran I've ever met.

How does "do unto others" apply to the terrorists flying planes into the WTC?
And what about the videos of men cutting off the heads of our citizens?
They are lucky we are so nice to them in Gitmo. We should take a rusty saw to their necks.
I'll bet you can't think of a smart answer to that one. Go back to the 70's where you belong, hippie.

How did it apply to the American Indians? or to the Japanese camps of the 40's? When you are at war you take drastic measures. When you have people Targeting women and children and innocents to have to ratchet up the techniques. Why don't you go ask your Islamic Cleric this question Abdul

Do unto others?
Like when our soliders are captured and have their heads sawed off with rusty saws?
Are you sure you are a veteran?
