I would be careful about posting Fox News as a source. The liberals will get their panties all in a bunch over it.
Now, as for me, I've heard the Imam's own words. The guy DOES hate America, and he DOES think we're oppressors.
Now, I don't think he was referring to US as occupiers, but rather to Israel, the nation many Muslims believe is occupying "their" land of Palestine.
Why did the democrats have him pray? I dunno. I would assume it was for the sake of continuing to be the politically correct panzies they've been for as long as I can remember.
Just keep in mind, democrats care NOTHING for this nation's security. It's all about their power.

I know that we disagree most of the time....but on this subject I have to say it was completely the wrong thing to do!!!
One thing I hope people understand who are involved in this Y!A forum is that ....we....have not much if any control over what the political bigwigs in office do.
I have written letters and sent e-mails to my Democratic representatives asking them why they would ask this cleric to speak anti-American rehtoric at a public forum ....have yet to get a response!!
I think or rather I hope they didn't realize his speech (prayer) would be so Anti-American. I think they were just hoping that he would denounce Bush's policies not the entire United States.

I have seen the clips you reference. Do not be surprised by this. The democrats are so infected with the virus of political correctness that prevents honest debate, prevents the development of a course of action, that does not allow free will, and that eventually creates a suicidal mind set less one offend. Islam is a perfect match for the left as it seeks to control conduct in the most basic of human interactions, much like the speach codes, hate crime legislation, and sexual harasment laws liberals love so much.
