I was in a wreck, with a 18 wheeler I was almoat dead. I got a lawyer, and they are not wanting to pay because I was only hurt 4 months. the lawyer is only going after the insurance company. But I would also like the 18 wheelers company to pay for what happened if they do not get any thing done to them how will they learn there lesson. So after the law suit can I then turn around and sue the company in a civil case ? Please Help

This man is dragging America down into the sewer. George Bush President of the United States is a man who has flushed all honor and integrity down the toilet. He has spread shame on America, it's Constitution, and it's People. It is a highly embarrassing situation for every Good American. When I was getting transferred to jail I was in 'full restraints' - handcuffs, leg shackles, bellychain and box over handcuffs. I don't see how anybody could ever escape if they were even just had the handcuffs and leg irons.

Why do they make people out so bad even if it's not a major crime - I was in for theft/robbery. I can sort of understand it for a really serious crime like murder or something like that but it seems over the top for less serious crimes.

i keep hearing the "they pick our oranges, they mow our lawn, they clean our hotel rooms" as justification for illegals being here. However, do illegals as well as Americans realize that these illegals are being discriminated against?

These same jobs are offered to these illegals because their standards are low. An american will not take a job cleaning someone's smelly s/hit or picking oranges in the heat for $4.15 an hour. Yet, an illegal will do it.

Yes these illegals are hard workers though these same companies hiring them are only doing it because they know illegals have low standards regarding pay and work and they lessen the wage. They wouldnt dare post the same wage to a typical american. If there were no illegals to do the job, they wouldnt have any choice but to raise the wage suitable for the cost of living

Knowing this, why do these illegals still come here. they can barely make a living and do they realize how these companies view them?

Rudy Guliani!! He signed up with the wrong party. He marched in a gay pride parade, had an adulterous affair and kicked his family out of the Mayor's Mansion so he could move his girlfriend in, supported gun control, was pro-choice, and married his cousin. I'm liberal, but this guy makes me look like Bob Dole.

My old landlord is taking me to court saying I owe a bunch of money which I don't, I have most of the receipts. He hired a lawyer who is just as crooked as he is and we took it to court where the landlord didn't show up twice and asked for a reschedule. I wasn't informed when the next court date was, so they went ahead and finalized everything and it went into favor of my landlord. It's been about a month now, is it too late for me to have anyone hear my side of the story and have it appealed?

A revolt against a national driver's license, begun in Maine last month, is quickly spreading to other states.

States must comply with the Real ID law by May 2008. If they do not, driver's licenses that fall short of Real ID standards cannot be used to board an airplane.

I'm thinking of making a career change and am looking into being a police/911 dispatcher. They are in high demand where I live, I like being able to do shift work, and I've always been able to remain calm and level-headed in an emergency (yes, I've been faced with quite a few). i would say i have a middle ground political view. i represent the group of people who might have thier minds changed a little one way or the other on a given issue. i represent the people who are driven mad by how impossible it is to get a reasonable argument from eigther side. liberals usually turn me off the most, because thier anger and hypocracy is usually the most transparant, and the logic usually more easy to find flaws in, but the conservatives do the same thing.

doesn anyone actually want to discuss the issues? does anyone really want to change minds? or are these discussion forums nothing more than a place to blow off steam and boost your ego with all the people who agree with you and the people you can call stupid for not agreeing?

there are so few relevant sounding questions (almost all are loaded questions) and even those few get flooded with nonsense spin answers..... you all sound like parrots.

I work at a clothing store with a bunch of fake stuck up bitches. Just recently there was this entire investigation on these people that were stealing.(im the one who told on them).and then they were interrogated and they confessed & my name was never brought up by anyone until their "confession".me & those 3 girls dont even like eachother.they are really fake and they lie all the time & thats why we arent friends.But i didnt steal!!then just recently this 2 faced *****.(and I know who it is) is telling people she called home office and that i showed her the stolen items in my car!.umm really? the ***** has only been in my car once for 5 minutes.and that was in october. If my stealing was such a problem.and i really was stealing why didnt you tell a manager or home office then? Or are you lying cause i said you need to lose weight and your bangs are too long! under law can they fire me? even with the false allogations. or do they need tangible,physical proof?
