You don't automaticly get a bank. Yes, direct deposit is required, but you can choose your own bank. However, I went to Parris Island 10 years ago, and at the end, people from Navy Federal Credit Union spoke with us and offered for us to sign up. After boot camp at MCT, people from Marine Federal Credit Union spoke with us. Its all up to you, but direct deposit is a must.

It was probably Navy Federal. I think west coast Marines still get accounts for Navy Fed. Marines out of Camp Pendleton now get Pacific Marine accounts though. There used to be Navy Fed's on all/most USMC bases but not anymore. Camp Pendleton doesn't have any Navy Fed's on base.

ne ways the bank that you get right outta parris island
is fort sill national bank

i would change it as soon a possible becuase that bank steals your money

are you tlaking about navy federal???
navy fed is the credit union found on every naval and marine base world wide.
my husband is a marine, so we bank at navy fed just b/c we know that even if we're in japan our bank doesn't have to change.

E-2 private first class, E-3 is lance corporal and only a few made that rank upon graduation from boot camp.
