I am trying to find out are there any programs out there that will help vets get a computer.

I wish I could answer you on this. My apologies for responding without an answer. I

I feel that Vets should receive perks left and right to show the appreciation of their service for our country.

The VA does have a program for service connected disabled veterans. It is limited to veterans with major limitations such as being "home bound" for whatever reason. It is offered via the
Chapter 31 under the "Independent living" services area.

I know a few vets who utilized this program and all were rather severely impaired: unable to work, also 100% rated. One was rated for PTSD and such.

Veterans with a DOD ID card, are, of course, authorized to shop in the Exchanges and DELL has a program that is not bad.
