When a soldier is deployed to war (or even on a humanitarian aid project), who do you think has a harder time? The soldier or the ones left on the homefront?

(Disclaimer: This is not to demean anyone's suffering. I know that there are hardships on every member of a military family, especially during deployments. I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were.)

I like all of his policies, except the fact he is pro-abortion. I cannot vote for him with a clean conscience. I will vote for McCain, probably, or a third party candidate if Guiliani wins.

If you believe that, then you are the one with intellect issues. Personally, I am getting tired of hearing that. You should not look down on people who wish to serve their country. It takes a special person to do what they do.

Or standing up for what you believe in, regardless of the cost to you? Lt. Watada volunteered for any orders that were legal, regardless of the conflict level, yet so many here would have his blood. Perhaps a small history lesson is in order, relating to the duty of an officer.

Pay special attention to article 8.
Perhaps before you crucify somebody who shows actual conviction in the face of lunacy, you can do a little research inbetween games of WarCraft? It's easy to throw criticism on a soldier from your Lay-Z-Boy.

i'm 7 months pregnant and my medicaid was recently cancelled because dhs requested more information at the last minute and didn't get an extension. then i got a bill for my ultrasound and a visit to the emergency room that should have been covered the reason for not being covered was because dhs failed to put my physicians name on my file. when i went to reapply, i took in the extra stuff they needed so they would have all my information. my boyfriend's ex girlfriend works as a receptionist there and told me i'd need to bring his social security number and a copy of his birth certificate in which i wondered about. now it seems that the copies of his check stubs have wound up at the child support office and she's trying to get his amount raised. if i'm not mistaken, when the papers are for dhs, they are confidential and for my file. isn't it a crime to remove a private document from a place like that. much less to try to use it for your own personal gain? what can i do about it?

I just got a $135 fine in NC for a making a U-Turn. Still it seems like the sign was posted less a week ago. I feel like the cop should have given me a warning instead of a fine. On top of it, he just went back and stopped somebody else right away. It seems almost illegal that they would try so openly to catch people doing some illegal just days after the traffic signal was put there. Do you think I should go to court and fight it?

I want to get one of those marking kits that I was issued at MCRD. The kind that flip down when you compress them onto whatever you're marking. Not the kind you find in most stores that are lame stamp kits that get ink everywhere and you have to dab in ink after each marking.

Does anyone know where I can buy one of these things online, or somewhere in Northern California?

Personally, I don't believe that a person's marriage or social life should be held up to public scrutiny. But since the Republicans seemed to relish in criticizing Clinton for his infidelity, will Rudy be free game for the same? Or will his 9/11 reputation spare him and make hypocrites out of his party followers?

I just saw this on Jeporday and the correct answer was the US Air Force(I was in the Navy) and one guys said US Navy. Alex Trebak said most people think that because of the ships but then he said most are nuclear powered. That is wrong, there are 2 non-nuclear powered aircraft carriers. 10 are nucs and then the submarines but there are WAY more destroyers and cruisers and frigates. The US navy has WAY more non-nuc ships that nuc ships. I think Jeporday was wrong?
