Of course not. She would still be an attorney with the Rose Law Firm.

Nomo, here's a fact for ya.

Bush was governor of Texas. Unlike Jimmy Carter, he is in his 2nd term now.

Yes I think Hillary would be known, she knew in her heart that a woman could do anything. Being the president might have been one of her dreams.

As a Senator completing her first term? Probably no one outside her state. I think she could have had a successful political career with or without Bill, but she definitely wouldn't be known nationally without Bill.

I compare her campaign to Ted Kennedy's in 1980. He didn't have a prayer of winning, but it did finally establish him as Ted Kennedy instead of Ted Jack and Bobby's irresponsible little brother. The 2008 race will do the same for Hillary. She can't win, but it will help her hugely as a Senator - she won't just be Bill's wife anymore.

Or maybe she can win. As the black sheep of the Bush family, George W shouldn't have had a prayer of winning in 2000, either. If any of the Bush's were going to follow their father's footsteps, I would have expected Jeb Bush, who was at least slightly above average as a governor.

I don't think Hillary Rodham would have even made it to the Senate on her own! Does she have family wealth to finance her Senatorial campaign, like the Pelosis and the Fiensteins of the world?

If it wasn't for Bill and his connections, Hillary would still be in prison in Arkansas.
BUT, Hillary saved Bill from prison while he was president.
(So it all evens out.)

And would we have heard of Dubya, without his father? Of course not. He'd be selling used cars without his families help.

So what's your point?

Hillary and Bill got where they are on their own. Nobody "PUT" Hillary or Bill through Yale and "GOT" them elected..

Your right. We would have never heard of her. Even if she had become a Senator, we would have never heard of her. She has accomplished nothing while in the Senate
