Guiliani's did not involve the solemn sanctity of the Oval Office.
But you're right, we will never get good, qualified candidates to run for President if their personal lives are going to be fodder for endless headlines. Imagine the smart, inventive, creative people who might run for office if they could be assured their private lives were not going to be exposed for public approval and scrutiny.
Wouldn't our country be better off if the press had just ignored Clinton's infidelities as they did with JFK?
Face it, we're never going to get anyone even approaching the right person to lead this nation if they are going to be under a spotlight. I say, make the (Liberal) press act more responsibly. Imagine if, during the Cuban Missile Crisis JFK had to contend with the crap Clinton did. His lack of focus might have ended us in the middle of a thermo-nuclear war.

I'd say he's a tad more open about it.
You really haven't listened to any Republicans, have you? The ones I talk to never had any major problem with Clinton's infidelity, most seeing his spouse as at least partial justification. They did have problems with abuse of power in influencing an intern, and in perjury, which is a real and valid gripe, not to mention a crime. Trying to deflect the argument was a poor Democratic tactic at the time and it still is. You really don't have the right to insist that the Republicans be upset about what you say they are.

I didn't believe their marriage or social life should matter when we spent so much freaking money investigating Clinton, and I don't think it should matter with Guiliani. But I *do* think that the same criteria should come into play no matter which party we're talking about.

This will be interesting to watch. But since most republicans are hypocrites I am sure it will go unnoticed.
This is great. Hey repubs..what about family values? You are a bunch of hypocrites.

Well you see, since Republicans TALK about moral values all the time, they are actually exempt from having to ABIDE by those same values.
