Republicans want to review all film scripts before being filmed. http://www.wilmingtonstar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070126/NEWS/701260363

They are spending money like drunken frat boys. I thought Republicans were about small government!

*I consider myself conservative and republican, but even I think the party is changed.

Is money the most important thing or our children's future and the future of mankind? Do we wait until there is no hope to do anything? Or do we suffer a little while and go through the economic set backs (maybe worse than the 30's) and just do it. Are we so greedy that only our comfort matters and not our children's right to live on a habitable earth? Anybody at least 40 years old can look at all the evidence between now and only back to the seventies. We need to act NOW!

We have stopped caring as a nation . We all say Yeah somebody should do something about that . No new towers or project to show the world that we are a strong nation . We have dozens of city's in ruins still on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico . We know that the insurance companies are in court with thousands and thousands of policy holders still trying to get out of paying . Yet they settled with several Government contractors at ship yards in the region within weeks to the tune of a few billion . Those workers at those yards working for uncle sam have been able to put their lives back in some order . But many have not and are fighting insurers to this day .
We lost site of the individual in the fight and if one man is right then all of them are . Justice it seems must be bought . Fair treatment must be bought . And we no that our elected officials are bought by campaign contributors . They operate without a conscience and more and more so do we . Our conscience is gone .

revolution |ˌrevəˈloō sh ən| - a forcible overthrow of a government or social order in favor of a new system.

For the sake of argument, lets say you woke up today to find that the constitution has been suspended indefinitely. Those that have do so explain to the people that America must take 2 steps back in order to take 10 steps forward as the rationale for their actions. The philosophy being that 'you can't fix a car while its running'.

Put yourself on both ends of the spectrum. If you as the President, absolutely had to suspend freedoms in order to save us from ourselves, why would you do it and what are your motives? Even if you mean no harm, and intentions are genuinely honorable.

As the citizen who has awoken to this news on CNN, what would you do? Would this pull Americans from their couches into the streets? Are 21st century American capable of true revolution (not faxes, or disgruntled emails) or would we cooperate if let to understand its truly for the better good.

Exxon and Shell recently announced record profits for 2006. Exxon earned 39 billion and Shell 25 billion. Would you attribute their outrageous profits to cutting-edge marketing, brilliant management, and strategic expense control, or is there something rotten in Denmark?

What the hell have they done to earn your respect? They play pretend for a living.. Now that's someone I want to have as a role model.. That's someone who I will shape my beliefs around - someone who plays pretend for a living... Takes a REAL education to do that!

What places them in a higher political regard than true professionals on any issue? You libs are so silly....

I know, this is a morbid question. I don't actually have a corpse on my hands, I'm just wondering. Say gramps passes away in his sleep, and you find him the next morning. If he's obviously dead, calling 911 is a waste of emergency resources. Whom should you call instead?
