hilo, every1
i'm quite annoyed by a housemate. the house are all international students except him. he is holding an expired visa. actually it has expired on dec of 2006. and works more than 25 hours per week. the council tax letter came last month, which said the house should pay 500pounds plus before end of this feb. i asked him to solve this, 'cuz other members in this house dont work or only work for under 10 hours per week. but he said, if we don't share the council tax, he won't pay a penny.

can any1 tell me how to deal with this guy? is there a way to report this illegal person?

cheers

That the Deparment of Justice require the printing of election ballots, registration forms, and brochures in foreign languages at over 1000 polling locations and cost the taxpayers $27 million each year? Do you think special treatment should be given to legal immigrants who vote in the elections by having ballots printed in their native language?

In science, there can't be consensus. if you stop and think, science is not about the most people who will agree to a proposition, that makes the proposition so. If that were science, why, we'd still have the earth being flat and the sun orbiting around the earth. Consensus simply cannot have any place in science, and if the global warming crowd continues to pulverize and sell it on the basis that there's consensus, that ought to tell anybody who understands the English language that there isn't any science in it, that it is all politics. This global warming issue is the essence of liberalism versus conservatism. Global warming, militant environmentalism, militant animal rightsism, is nothing more, those things are nothing more than opportunities for communists, socialists, people that support dictatorships, to empower elements of society they think are important, government, statism, and this sort of thing, and every element of conservatism versus liberalism is to be found in the global warming debate. It's amazing, in fact, the left out there decrying devout Christianity or Catholicism or anything of the sort. They are as religious about what it is they believe as anybody else. They are as intolerant of people who disagree. They also have to rely on faith. Faith is that which is not provable. In order to accept belief in something, you must have faith if it can't be proved. That sums up the left's association and attachment to global warming. It represents an opportunity for liberals to do everything they want to do in terms of controlling and limiting freedom and liberty. They blame the American people and civilized peoples all over the world for destroying the planet. They infuse everybody with as much guilt for destroying the planet and how is this guilt ladled out? It is ladled out on the basis that your lifestyle is too rich, that your lifestyle is based on greed, that your lifestyle is based on selfishness, and it's also based on the fact that you don't care about anybody else but yourself, that you are damaging the planet in the process. They have to get hold of you to save the planet, their god.

They have to get hold of you to save their religion. In the process of making you feel guilty, you will support massive increases in the size of government and state, in order to fix the problem that you have caused, and you will gladly fork over more and more taxes to do this while in the throes of your guilt. Global warming is nothing more than a scheme, particularly the manmade characteristics of global warming, the desire for them to make you believe, the attempt to make you believe that you're causing it.

To be fair they did play a big role but they came at a late stage where Britain had already been fighting for 2 years before america stepped in, and only because of japan - which may i add the British helped fight against.

We had the Battle of Britain in which we defended our country from a German attack. If we had fallen to the Germans then Hitler would had set up base and made an attack on the US.

I would just like to see a little more respect from americans about Britains role in WW2. I dont deny the role the US played. They did us proud. But I think alot of americans watch to many hollywood war movies (none which are made about Britains efforts) and these movies have convinced young americans that it was all America doing the fighting.

Britain will be and for a long time allies with America with war on terror but it just seems that americans only appreciate their efforts and no one elses

Anyone got any views on this? am i right or wrong about american views?

Here's the deal,....it's really not that hard. Iraqi people were being murdered by genocide by their own President Saddam. U.S. had know this and feared more to come from this guy, so we came to disrupt his regime and kicked him out. Now that he is gone, why can't all Iraqis come together as a country and let the U.S. set up a government of Iraqis that will work? It seems as if Iraqi people could stop blowing themselves up for a few months, we could get a govenment system set up, restore some type of law, and then go home. I don't understand why Iraqis don't want this to happen as fast as possible. Why??

Commader & Cheif?

See they swear to be loyal to the CAC. So when people state I support the troops but not the war they are liars perhaps even its treason to try to undermine or soilders as a fighting force.

So why do people feel validated in making statements that are not true. Is it a feigned efffort to show support while really you hate them that is the troos but do not want to appear to be a traitor so take a dig at them in another way.

Who gives a darn. Let's just bash Bush and ignore Clinton's own policy.

Oh, in case you care, Clinton REFUSED to support Kyoto. He said it would hurt American's jobs.

Now.. back to our hatred of Bush.

Why has the US been so reluctant to agree to cut back on emissions? and now they are finally addressing the issue what can be done to stop the increasing rate of climate change?

I am undecided and sorry if i have brought up anything bad with this question.

I don't think people should be jailed for it, however knowing that some people have lived happy lives after thinking about the subject makes me wonder.

Also, what is the surrent law on euthanasia in Britain?

Thank you in advance, x

a simple question was asked of someone in politics and government and several ppl decided to maliciously attack the men and women of the military one poster 'butterfly angel' actually calling them 'murderers'. i find this offensive as the majority of ppl in the military are not even on the front lines they are in support positions and helping the community and have never fired a weapon in defense or offense. so many of our troops are bringing aid and comfort to those that previously were their enemies and i know many who are in iraq and have several iraqi friends who are glad we are there and their lives are better for it. they cannot understand the hatred and negative reports here in the u.s. the violence and such happening there is in pockets and done by extremists. what do you think of this person 'butterfly angel' wrongly accusing others of things they haven't done its biased and bigoted.

Our "Greatest Generation" fought and served our country in WW2. Back then Movie Stars and Hollywood leapt at the chance to serve or entertain our troops overseas. Today they falsely hype what an unsuccesful "quagmire" we are in, as they have done since North Korea, Vietnam and 1st Gulf War. Reliving 60's glory days, todays liberals are so bent on their own political power, that they gush with every piece of bad news that comes out of Iraq, as anything that's bad for Bush, is great for them. Blinded by their hatred for Bush and conservative / christian America, liberals twist and pervert even the most hideous attack on America as something that our President has done to us. A claim that is astronomically deceitful and underhanded. "No blood for oil" becomes a rally cry for those wanting political revenge for a close election (err, "stolen") and a Presidential sex scandal. The cost of weakening America and emboldening a hell-bent enemy sworn on our destruction, is incidental to them.
