Our "Greatest Generation" fought and served our country in WW2. Back then Movie Stars and Hollywood leapt at the chance to serve or entertain our troops overseas. Today they falsely hype what an unsuccesful "quagmire" we are in, as they have done since North Korea, Vietnam and 1st Gulf War. Reliving 60's glory days, todays liberals are so bent on their own political power, that they gush with every piece of bad news that comes out of Iraq, as anything that's bad for Bush, is great for them. Blinded by their hatred for Bush and conservative / christian America, liberals twist and pervert even the most hideous attack on America as something that our President has done to us. A claim that is astronomically deceitful and underhanded. "No blood for oil" becomes a rally cry for those wanting political revenge for a close election (err, "stolen") and a Presidential sex scandal. The cost of weakening America and emboldening a hell-bent enemy sworn on our destruction, is incidental to them.

By the way, wackadoo job and the rest, Im very aware of the Hagels, et al who are in the trend of turning their back on what they voted for, for the sake of saving their own politcal skin. - That alone makes them more like liberals than any other characteristic.

Further, I don't require or request your demented and revisionist version of history in the form of obscure and trivial findings.

As for me and Bush's boots, I disagree with him on alot of things. Spending, immigration, and more. That's the difference between us though. I actually prefer to put the country before, party or leader. Much like Bush himself does. Your kind will never be accused of conducting yourselves in such a way. You have no honor, whatsoever. You live in a world of drive thru meals and ATM's and instant gratification and then piss & moan when a war isnt completed in a year or two. Our forefathers fortunately had more intestinal fortitude. Keep blaming America first, Bin Laden loves your help.

Their pathological hatred of Bush and by extension conservatives and Republicans, has them routing for our enemy so they can gloat over another Bush "failure."

The are assisted by the media who are leading the propaganda machine and have their own agenda that happens to coincide with the neo-liberal agenda of trashing the POTUS.

They are so blinded by their Bushate that they are blinded, or are indifferent, to the fact that it emboldens the enemy and empowers those who would harm the United States or it's citizens. And no matter how many times, or in how many ways, it is presented they fail to see the difference between voicing dissent and giving aid to the enemy.

That is patently false. Are you saying the greatest generation that served in world war two were all republicans? Are you also saying the only people against this war are liberal democrats? If so maybe you should catch up on the news. It appears there are several republicans now saying the same thing about Iraq, it's time to change the course. Your claim that people who dissent with the republican stance on the Iraq, whatever it is, is emboldening "the enemy" is hogwash. Even Arlen Specter a staunch republican says that is untrue. It appears to me your blind hatred for what you call liberals is clouding your thinking, that is unless the republicans now speaking out against President Bush's policies are now somehow liberals also.

Uh...hollywood supported the first gulf war ..remember the yellow ribbons...all the 'hollywood celebrities' getting together and singing the 'voice that care' song..it was kind of like a 'we are the world' of movie stars for the troops..so you're wrong that most of the country and hollywood wasnt behind Gulf1...and about Vietnam, the country didnt turn against the war overnight..in 1964(?) the number one pop song on the charts was the 'ballad of the green beret' hardly a 60's psychadellic anti-war number...Like others have said with this current misadventure in Iraq people are turning against it now (Warner, Hagel, etc .. by the way ...not liberals ) because it has been so badly mismanaged and screwed up at every possibly juncture. A lot of people were willign to give Bush a chance or the benefit of the doubt on Iraq. he blew it and that time has passed...get your facts straight and stop exaggerating the cultural divide. You want to lick Bushes boots then go intern there or protest and intimidate outside of some country office next time their trying to count the votes...

A rebuttal to a 'frothing at the mouth' moron:

So John Warner and Chuck Hagel are 'liberals' because they want some oversight over a mismanaged war. Hmmm...thats convenient...I guess you believe the country would have been better served by Oliver North, a man who lied under oath, as the junior Senator from Virgina (something that Warner opposed)

I say mismanaged because the greatest generation you mentioned (that served under two democratic presidents) managed to defeat Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan on the ground in less time than we have allready spent in Iraq. The resconstruction and occupation of countries were both done with more competency and efficiency dignity and expertise. Also Ronald Reagan did not jump at the chance to serve his country.

As for having a' trivial knowledge' of history we can say the sword cuts both ways.. you seem to think there was a protest movement and broad opposition to the Korean war...I also remember it was isolationist republican (like Taft) who wanted to keep the US out of WWII. Being college educated like most liberals (the real ones do not eat fast food) I wouldnt ever make such an asinine statement like its only 'Liberal politicians who are bent on political power... ' But I wouldn't want to accuse you of having tunnel vision..

With regard to emboldening the enemy...it was Bush who said 'bring it on' and separately thats such a load of horse dung...have you so little faith in our military (that we are spending 500 billion on this year..more than the next 17 countires combined) that you think a non binding resolution on the senate floor expressing disapproval is suddenly going to turn into the next Tet offensive. I can guarantee you that soldiers would like to have some kind of timetable and discussion (some coherent articulating of their mission so far not comign from anyone in command) of how long they are going to be servign over there.Take your ritalin! If you cant handle a difference of opinion Im sure theres a fox news blog you can join...

'I dont require your opinions...' Your views can be summarized as follows: "I dont require the facts from the last 50 years when they do not support my simplistic world view and blame the Democrats game approach to politics..."

You have a well formed opinion, the only problem is that you failed to show how liberals are aiding the enemies of this country. Why is it that we cannot have different views on wars without aiding the enemy. I completely disagree with the war in Iraq and I can't wait for Bush to leave office, but I support our troops and applaud their efforts. I grieve for their losses but honor their sacrifice. I do not believe that this situation is a cut and dry as the republicans and democrats try and make it sound.

I just wish that we had known more, planned more, and could do more without useless wars, empty words and vague actions.

see, people in WW2 wanted to fight because there was a reason to fight. iraq was an unjustified war, simple as that. and im sorry, can you really compare some oral sex to the deaths of tens of thousands iraqis and 3000+ american soldiers? dude, its not the liberals only who hate this war. republicans are turning against bush, as well as the outgoing commander of iraq. colin powell objected, look waht happened to him. now wesley clark was dismissed because he had different views that the president. and why do you compare this war to vietnam in terms of protestors. you think liberals are only protesting this war because bush is in office??? thats just ignorant and stupid. liberals protested vietnam, and it was ran by democratic presidents!!!! liberals fight for the cause, not for the person as some conservatives do. i can guarantee many of the conservatives on here would be totally against the war if gore was in office, or any other democrat. you dont believe in the war...you believe in mr. bush.

Well said, my friend. The left considered the US and the West the bad guys during the Cold War, so it's not surprising they still feel the same way during the War on Terror. They still mourn the collapse of the USSR. They are enemies of the US and cannot be trusted. They are seditious weasels.

you've just posted the question i was about to ask, with a lot better flare.

is the anti-war movement actually sincere? or is it perpetuated by baby boomers entering retirement and realizing their mortality trying to relive the glory days of old?

kudos!
