There is no difference at all between the parties. Without the whole abortion issue Republicans would probably lose more elections too.

As far as pandering and buying votes and spending like drunken sailors...YES. I am a Reagan Republican and it saddens me to see the terms Conservative and Republican used interchangeably. The current crop of Republicans in power don't share many Conservative values.

There is no doubt that our party needs to be more fiscally responsible and return to the small government principals that the party once held dear. I am, however very pleased with the republican stance on the war on terrorism and the social issues.
