Actually, America is a very clean country. Of the top 10 most polluted cities on the planet, not one was American (6 were in the former Soviet Union)

The hole in the ozone existed. It was caused by CFCs (found in aerosol spray cans). It was a legitimate problem, as cancer rates went up in areas where ozone was thinning. The libs freaked out, CFCs were banned, and the ozone has started to repair itself.

Greenhouse gasses are a completely separate issue.

Heck no we should not be glad for global warming! This is destroying our home (earth). The whole Hole in the Ozone Layer thing, gosh, whatever happened to that? I was so young when that crap was going on. But this whole Global warming thing has me really freaked out, and our president is kinda pi**ng me off about not putting caps on the gasses, and then trying to put more ethenol in our gasoline, what a greedy S.O.B!

Ozone isn't a greenhouse gas. Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas, and that is causing global warming. It's easy to confuse the two issues. One lets through UV radiation, and the other traps IR radiation, they can both cause troubles.

thats what i thought too.

the ozone layer naturally fluctuates because of this. if we caused the hole in the ozone shouldn't we see multiple holes manifest themselves over, say, new york city, los angeles, or london? not antarctica?

LOL - at least you guys opted out of the Kyoto Accord.

Canada's former Liberal government forced Canada into it. Our current Conservative government is now criticizing Kyoto, and they are being crucified by the screaming Liberals and liberal media. The libs see Kyoto as their baby.
