Actually the President doesn't aprove the money spent. Congress does. You can see how effective individual members of the house and senate are as advocates of taxpayers at the below link. It is the site for Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW).
Dig around in the site a little and you can see what they are approving that the group considers waste. It is very interesting. One final thought is that everyone should read the constitution to see exactly what is allowed to be funded by congress. It won't take long and It is a real eye opener. You may have a new outlook on what congress funds after reading it.

Nowhere to be found. We did no longer hear a peep out of those people whilst Bush replaced into turning Clinton's fee variety surpluses into record-putting deficits. We heard no longer something from them whilst Bush extra advantageous spending yet decrease taxes on the comparable time, customarily favoring the rich, and started an costly, pointless warfare in Iraq. in actuality, as quickly as we did on occasion hear something from spectacular wingers on the challenge, it replaced into in basic terms to look after the extra advantageous deficits by potential of spouting some furnish-area financial nonsense, aka trickle down, approximately the way it may all artwork out interior the top. It did no longer. The debt exploded, the deficits outpaced something that we had ever seen and at last the economic device crashed. Now that President Obama is attempting to help the country recover from the large Recession, those people are yelling and screaming and foaming on the mouth. What a team of hypocrites!

I don't think our tax dollars are well spent by any administration. All these damn social programs from welfare and medicare to PETA and the EPA. And oh God! lest we forget, we have to save everyone. No child can die, no old people can die, and they can all be a drain on society while sitting in hospitals and running up medical bills that will undoubtedly be passed on to the rest of us healthy individuals. What a bunch of bologna.
Why don't we just become socialist or maybe even communist. Lets just get to where we're going already so we can look back and say how nice the past was when we had the ability to help ourselves and not need to be helped out by the government. Thanks and have a nice day.

I wonder why it is that every election the G O P candidates are saying we need less government, but when they were handed over a surplus and they were able to spend every penny of it and also spend what will take our grandchildren all of their lives to repay. If its less government why does it always cost more when they are in office.
They always whine about tax and spend democrats
what are they
just Spend and Spend somemore Republicains
Don't worry, the little guy will pay for it

It is Congress that spends our tax dollars. Nothing gets funded without their approval.
