I don't understand how we can spend billions of dollars for the war but the policticians are debating how we can shore up Medicare and Social Security. Can't we just come up with money the same way?

The best fix for social security would be to just end the program.

How can one live in a free society when they are forced under the threat of going to jail to give into a system that most likely will do far less for them then if they planned for retirement on their own?

Look who we as a nation voted for TWICE. A man who bathes in oil, who doesn't give two shits about the enviroment and could care less about social issues. Plus there is no money in fixing medicare or social security. We had a president who at least attempted to fix these problems and we didn't vote for Al Gore who would've continued much of the Clinton philosophies. In short the cabal that controls washington today only care about war profitiering and destroying what is left of the american dream. Why is minimum wage still around $7 when the corporate chiefs recieve millions even when the company does poorly? Why hasn't individual income gone up as fast as inflation, the ability to borrow money is way up but why has the foundation of the american dream been shored up yet during all of these years of prosperity? One word, to your question and mine: GREED.

We arent coming up with any money. Its all deficit spending its money we dont actually have. Additionally its alot (!!!!!) more money to fix these things than the small amounts necessary to pretend like we are helping the Iraq Civil War.

No. The only way to fix them is to eliminate them.
