Against. The amount of money that it cost due to the number of appeals the guilty are given is ridiculous. It costs less to house someone for life than to execute them.

NOT CHRISTIAN!

I am for it. It costs too much to keep lifers. If they killed, habitually raped or molested or are a career (three striker) criminal that is never going to stop or a drug dealer, I say drop the hammer. It will clean out the prisons.

Note! I do not believe that capital punishment is an effective means of deterring crime. It is simply a practical solution to keeping them in prison till they die.

Capitol punishment has nothing to do with religion - dork!
I am for it because I'm sick and tired of my taxes paying for a criminal to set on his butt for the rest of his life (in prison); getting 3 meals a day, TV and other things without having to work for it like I do. He gets all the luxuries in life and the victim is dead - now how fair is that.................................
I believe in 'an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth'.
There are just too many 'liberal hearts' out there; who believe the criminal has the right to sit and contemplate his actions, promise to never do it again and give him everything on a silver platter.
What about the rights of the victim; he had the right to a full life and someone took it away from him - yet, no one even thinks about him - they just concentrate on the criminal; B.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you wish to quote the bible; under the 10 commandments - 'do unto others as you would have them do to you' - an eye for an eye!

I am for it depending on the circumstance. I believe that repeat rapist and that people who have killed more than 2 people are dangerous and a harm to society like Jeffery Dahmer and the Charles Manson cult. I am not a Christan and I don't like to see people get hurt but sometimes we do need to use Capital punishment to protect everyone else.

totally for it but i think in cases where there is DNA and 100% proof than we should not keep these bottom dwellers that murder there kids and others alive any longer than necessary .100% proof let em say bye to their families and apologies for their crimes and than that's it its over why should we pay so much in taxes to keep them alive for appeals and such these should only be for people who aren't convicted by absolute 100% proof it's time we stop coddling the murder es and just do what they did kill them for the heck of it ,did you see where the lady in ill got 10 years for drowning her 3 kids in her car in a lake and they reduced her time to include her time already served where is the justice in that i feel so sorry for the father in this case i am sure he is at a loss for why they were so lenient on her this is what I'm talking about no justice anymore it's sick i guess you figured out I'm not christian but i did think that there's a line in there somewhere about an eye for an eye.........

I'm a Christian who is for it. Genesis 9:6 explains why:
"Whoever sheds the blood of man,
by man shall his blood be shed;
for in the image of God
has God made man."

It's not just about justice but also about touching someone made in the image of God.
I do think our justice system needs to be totally reformed to reduce the number of innocent people on death row.
