We have stopped caring as a nation . We all say Yeah somebody should do something about that . No new towers or project to show the world that we are a strong nation . We have dozens of city's in ruins still on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico . We know that the insurance companies are in court with thousands and thousands of policy holders still trying to get out of paying . Yet they settled with several Government contractors at ship yards in the region within weeks to the tune of a few billion . Those workers at those yards working for uncle sam have been able to put their lives back in some order . But many have not and are fighting insurers to this day .
We lost site of the individual in the fight and if one man is right then all of them are . Justice it seems must be bought . Fair treatment must be bought . And we no that our elected officials are bought by campaign contributors . They operate without a conscience and more and more so do we . Our conscience is gone .

Our social conscience is bigger than ever, to the point that it will bring us down as a nation.

Look at the welfare system, it is paying able bodied people to sit on the couch and expect the gov to support them.

Look at the immigration problem, law after law has been deemed unconstitutional when it comes to identifying illegals.

Look at New Orleans. This country has bent over backwards to comfort those people, again that expected it, whether it was a gov paid debit card or tax breaks.
