In Britain we have had the IRA since before the first world war, have suffered terrorist bombings both in Northen Ireland and on the British mainland. Yet it is only now that terrorism is being put forward in a big way as a threat. Bush and Blair say they are going after terorists and those who fund them. Why do people seem to have forgotten that the IRA (a terrorist organisation) used to get substantial funds from the USA. Doesn't this seem just a bit odd?

It's a term that is used a lot on this board. When you hear the term do you think:

Immediate green card or citizenship at the stroke of a presidential pen
or
Making illegal’s who are currently ineligible to apply for a green card now eligible.

I don't want to get into a debate about should we or shouldn't we have amnesty. I just want to get an idea of what people mean when they use the term.

Look at the damage deer, elk & coyotes cause on Livestock. Millions of dollars are being taken from ranchers and farmers everywhere. Please everyone do your part as an american citizen HUNT. Dont be selfish and say "it hurts the animals" look at the starving farmer. Human life is far more valuable then a herd of deer or elk.

I don't understand how out countries (UN) can take land from one country and give it to others. Would England, America, or any other country accept that? We would fight til all were dead. Yet the Arabian countries are said to be bad people because they want their land back. No I am not Arab, I am a caucasian American who cannot understand why people are for the Jewish people (that I have nothing against) when they want Christ's land that he walked apon when they "have not and do not" accept Jesus in any way except to have him crucified. I am also NOT a Christian. I apologize if I used any term that disrespects anyone. Not intentional, just ignorance of your customs.

"This government of the people, by the people and for the people, belongs to the people. If at some time the people should grow weary of this government, they can use their constitutional right to change it or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it."

My boyfriend called over to my phone company to inquiry about charges and overages. They released ALL my information without even asking the name on the account. Not only that, they never asked him to verify the password or the last 4 digits of my SS#. Can I do something to this company for violating a Privacy issue?

Seems like they have a new approach to a common problem.

So after raiding the karaoke bars, saunas and barbershops where prostitutes often ply their trade, police officers in the southern Chinese boomtown paraded about 100 women and their alleged johns in the street, using loudspeakers to read out their names and the misdeeds they were accused of committing. News photographers snapped away while thousands of residents lined up to take in the show.
