If the age of consent is 18 then it is illegal.
An interesting part of your question is your diction, which perhaps should clue you in to the answer morally. Shouldn't a man be having sex with a woman and not a girl. If I think of someone as a girl and not yet a woman perhaps she shouldn't be having sex yet.

If the age of consent is 18 in your state, then it is technically illegal to have sex with a girl on the eve of her 18th birthday. Could you get busted for it? Most D.A.'s wouldn't waste their time with it, but every once in a while you get one who is a colossal pr!ck who will. Best thing to do is wait one more day.

It depends where you live. In the Great Britain (not the UK), the age of consent is 16, in Ireland 17, and in some parts of the US, is it 18.
If you are asking a general question, I think it's unlikely that the police would find it in the public's interest to prosecute someone in those circumstances, by they could do so if they felt like it.

In the US, yes.
In Europe, no.
In Asia, no.
It's hard to have gradual age limits, so they tend to draw the line somewhere, rather than say lets allow +/- 5.7286514 days.
I think there should be more gradual laws, such as a growing number of motorway miles, alcohol units per day, phased curfews, percentages of having a full vote, benefit entitlement, years in prison sentencability, etc. although some of these would be hard to make happen, or would cause more hassle.

Depends on how old you are. If you are older then 30 then i wouldnt even consider it. If not then your fine. You can lawfully have sex with a girl if she consents to it. But dont let her parents find out. In the state of Utah a girl can be married at 16 with parents permission which i think is wrong myself. But, that said. My opinion is, wait to have sex until marriage.

don't the brits have yahoo uk? in the us (this IS yahoo usa) general age of consent is 18, although not in every state. so, technically you would be breaking the law.
indeed this brings up an interesting question. what if it was in california? what if the girl was japanese? as japan is the other side of the international dateline... .
i doubt we'll be seeing a court of law try a case like this anytime soon. especially with the right-wing christians on the run as they are now. but technically you would be gulty of statutory rape anytime before midnight. unless of course, you were married. still legal to marry a girl as young as fourteen in texas and north carolina (with parental permission).

In U.K no because the consensual age is 16.
If where you live the age is 18 then yes it is illegal one day before her birthday, but highly doubtful charges would be pressed.

It all depends where about in the world you live, if you live in england no because the legal age of consent is 16. Elsewhere im not really sure.
