Let's quit with the moronic questions about Bush (e.g. "Does Bush like to lick the back of toliet seats?) and discuss real issues.

The Montevideo Convention provides the classical definition of the "state as a person of international law." Article 1 of the Convention holds that "The state as a person of international law should possess the following qualifications: (a) a permanent population; (b) a defined territory; (c) government; and (d) capacity to enter into relations with the other states."

However, I am doing a college project on anomalies in international relations, so I am wondering if there are any geographic areas which fully appear to meet the Montevideo Convention's criteria for statehood, but somehow actually don't .....

Of course, my research may be leading into a discussion of the possible shortcomings in the Montevideo Convention's criteria, however that would probably be a topic for next semester.

My current focus is merely on what geographic areas are not recognized by the international community as "states," but according to the Montevideo Convention criteria they arguably are states.

America has been involved in more wars than any other country in the world, has been one of the few if not the only country to use nuclear bombs in a war but still mangaes to have control of the UN and authority to determine who gets to have nuclear weapons.Ironic much?

olmert said that israel have nuks, but they NEVER tried or threatned anybody by using it,he is a BIG liyer, cause
israel was about to use its nuclear weapons, in 1973 when Egypt & Syria tried to get their occupied land back& that means that israel nuks is a threat to all Muslims & its not safe for israel to have these WMD if they tried to use it once, who knows that they will never use it???!!!So why Arab&Muslim countries cant have it to protect themselves from israel?
" Prime Minister Golda Meir and her “kitchen cabinet” made the decision on the night of 8 October. The Israelis assembled 13 twenty-kiloton atomic bombs. The number and in fact the entire story was later leaked by the Israelis as a great psychological warfare tool. Although most probably plutonium devices, one source reports they were enriched uranium bombs. The Jericho missiles at Hirbat Zachariah and the nuclear strike F-4s at Tel Nof were armed and prepared for action against Syrian and Egyptian targets"

The EU is undemocratic, costs a fortune to run, is run by corrupt politicians who use it as their own personal gravy train, and is not truly answerable anyone. Shouldn't any sensible person want the whole shebang binned?

I have been many times as a tourist in those countries, such as Russia, Belarussia, Romania, Ukraine & Bulgaria. U could buy a US Visa in the Black Market there. U find the dealer, who has a connection (usually an employee at the US Embassy) who could get the visa stamped on ur passport for an agreed amount of bribe. Their was a huge case in the Press 10 years ago of the US Ambasador & the employee of the US Embassy in Romania (Buchurest) , accepting bribes & issuing visas. I think our system in corrupt from top to bottom & the American middle class & average working man is paying the price, just as Lou Dobs says, " War on the American Middle Class " .

Since 1992, the Democratic candidate for president has won the states of Vermont, Massacusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, New York, Illinois, Hawaii and California. They have won these states by a wide average margin of more than 14 points (14.625%). In each of these states, the Democrats won a statewide election in 2006.

In California, the Republican governor (who won re-election in 2006) has decidely "liberal" positions (pro-choice, anti-offsore drilling, pro-global warming legislation, opposed placing the national guard at the Mexican border, etc.). California also re-elected a Democratic senator by a wide margin in 2006.

These states represent 140 electoral votes. Is there anything Republicans can do to break this 15 year voting trend in 2008?

I keep hearing about the womans' right to control her body, but these arguments completely discount the life of the fetus. Is it they believe it's not alive? Do they believe that it's not alive during the first trimester but suddenly becomes alive during the second? What about full term abortions?

I also hear much misapplying Roe v Wade. That case had nothing to do with life of a fetus and everything to do with the right to privacy so lets leave that out please.

Let's assume I'm an adult who finished high school, but for whatever reason (maybe I have a child, or I'm working three jobs, or I can't afford it) I never went to college. Also, let's assume I have no assets and no savings, I'm living in an apartment and I don't have any particular skills or abilities. If I were to look for a job, what are my chances of finding something above minimum wage? What is the highest wage/salary I could possibly hope for, if I began an entry level? What are my chances for promotion? If I were earning a minimum wage salary, and I didn't spend money on superfluous things (entertainment), would I be able to survive? Save money? Would my chances be affected if I were a minority? A female?

I strongly beleive that if a human kills another human he has lost ALL rights as a human, i understand there maybe a few cases of wrongful arrest etc but when your caught red handed doing any crime u should have a simple 3 strike warning... depending on how bad the crime is, if its murder and u was caught red handed you should be put down. end of. if u wasnt caught red handed and its not certain it was u but u go to jail anyways then u get a second chance. any other crime should get 3 simple warnings or a jail service THEN DEATH. we do this with animals but not humans??? humans make most animals the way they are so why are animals being prosicuted cos their human owner brings them up to attack etc??? anyways i know a few people who have been to jail and come out joking about how great it is in there. infact i know one guy who cant keep away from the place, most criminals r llike this, why waste our taxes on them? PUT THEM DOWN IF THEY ARE DANGEROUS OR COMEPLETLY UNHELPABLE!!

Let's say I grew up in a dirt poor, lower class family. My parents, for whatever reason, were not able to accumulate any savings. I go through school and graduate, but when I leave I have no money for college. What are my chances of procuring a scholarship and/or loan? Assuming I procure a loan, what are the chances that I will be able to get a job that affords me paying it back in time to accumulate some savings of my own? Assuming I am able to get a job, how long (on average) would it take me to pay back that loan?

During Reagan years (when they got Amnesty), we were told that they are only 2 milions illegals ,but turned out to be 8 milions. How could they be sure it's 12 milions ? Did someone stand at the border crossing and counted them running in or at the Airport saw them slip in by the INS Custom Officer ? A friend of mine in law enforcement told me that more likely their are 40 milions illegals from all over the world, counting Mexicans are the dominant number 40%. What do u think ? Are pro legals trying to make it look as not such a high number by lying on the truth ?
