no but i do think that we should have never gone into the country in the first place and now i just feel we should get our troops out of there and let them sort themselves out.We have already got to involved and look what has happened the lobdon bombings, september 11, we have got ourselves into something that was none of our business and it has brought nothing but trouble and the killing of innocent people to our front door affecting millions pf people
lets get out of there while we still can
pls

Maybe you should do a little independent research. First Saddam killed hundreds of thousands of his people. A lot more than have died since. He started three wars which killed thousands of Kuwaitis, millions of Iranians, and thousands of Kurds. Ask any Iraqi Shiite if they want him back, or any Kurd? Ask any of his neighboring countries, Kuwait, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia. Held the country together by killing and torturing those that opposed him or upset him. I have a Friend that is an Iraqi Shiite. She hates Saddam with a passion. She hates Al-Qaida, and she cannot understand why the American troops don't destroy them both. She does not understand American troops not stopping the killing. She says they could do it if the American people would let them. She thinks Bush is a monster because he does not let American soldiers kill the Insurgents that cause all the fighting. She does not understand that a president has to listen to the people of their country. All she ever knew was Saddam and believes that as president he can do as he wishes. She does not understand
why we don't do more. Maybe you can explain the Liberal philosophy of if it isn't our problem we shouldn't be there.

Yeah great that would be a great idea. And why dont we ressurect the 126+ Brave people who have given there lives over there. That sort of question is sick and disrespectful of their families. I agree it is a "**** storm" over there but remeber that Saddam has killed more of his own people than anybody else. The guy was a complete fascist. He admires Hitler. He should not hang because he will be seen as a martyr, but he should rot in jail for the rest of his natural life.

It takes time and patience to establish a new economy, gavernment etc etc, but it will happen. Unfortunately an occuping relief force is the only real way to achieve this and killing does come with the job.

He controlled his people by terror. They did not have a life as we do.Would you bring back Hitler? The Iraqi `terrorists` are acting the way they are because this is the first time in their lives they have ever been free to behave in this way.The `trouble makers` are mainly youngsters, doing what quite a few youngsters would like to do , given the chance. They are a very very different culture to us. We are taught right from wrong and assume that everyone in the world has the same values THEY DO NOT.
Until such time that the Iraqi peoples can elect their own government for their own areas plus a national government over-all, they will just continue killing each other, until there is no-one left. It is the decent families who have no say in these matters that I feel for.

NO!!!! He suppressed the nation into submission-if he didn't get his way they died!!! The media just didn't expose enough of what went on but he was on a par with the astrocities that happened in Africa in the early 1990s. His idol was Stalin for goodness sakes! He needed to go but we just haven't maintained the situation out there well enough-America alwasys has this attitude that democracy will prevail but you can't enforce that on a country that has been a dictorship for so long-look at Russia it's still a mess after communism. I don't know what the soultion is but it is not Saddam.

I don't agree on the grounds that he committed genocide.

I do agree that the country will most likely return to some sort of dictator/'strong man' who will keep it together in a more forceful way. This is not necesarily a good thing but we've bungled things too badly at this point.

Hell no.you should post this in YA jokes and riddles. This whole
war is about oil and who controls the last oil on earth.by the
way(Iraq will be the last oil producing country on the planet)
war is what happens when countries with oil decide to stop
selling there oil for dollars and switch to euros.America invade
and guess what, they change the regime( and oh yes)change
the oil for euros back to dollars, just like they did in Iraq.

i agree but no one really cares. Troops are supposed to be reducing and control be handed over to the iraqis but the Uk and America are just sending more troops. Personally i dont think they will ever leave. Send Saddam back- he may be a absolute w*****, but atleast he has control over the people.
