Its a story thats been going on for years. The U.S. helped Iraq out directly when during the Iran-Iraq war in the 80's because Iraq was losing and the U.S. didn't want the balance of power out of order. Iran knew what happened pretty much and has from that point on been in almost a cold war with the U.S. They have sponsored terroist to bomb U.S. emabassys and all that. The U.S. is just scared because Iran is a radical state and if they get the "big one" they could hand it off to a terroist organization and it could be used with Iran basically in the clear. Also the U.S. probably doesn't like the fact that a major mid east player who is hostile to U.S. interests will be immune to attack if they have nuclear weapons because everyone knows Iran will defiantly use one in self defense if attacked, but I am guessing most countries would.

Probably nothing compared to what it can gain from Iran's oil - see Iraq's so called weapons of mass destruction (or the lack there of )

The question is -is the US really concerned about Iran's alleged nuclear weapons program or are they simply trying to divert attention away from the disaster in Iraq

What the US has to fear is that the War mongerers in the White house might start ANOTHER war they cannot win

Irans leader is crazy that`s why. He funds terrorists so if he has nuclear weapons so do they.Which will end up being used here in the states because he hates Americans because his Koran tells him too. He also STRONGLY thinks it is his job to help bring on Armageddon. He will do anything to make that happen. Russia (PUTIN) is now aligning themselves more and more with Iran. That`s not a good thing for us !!!

Iran supports Hezbollah, Hamas and most of the Sunni Militias in the Middle East. How long do you think it will take one of them to use a Nuke if they can get one from Iran? Iran has stated they wish to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. Ever notice they don't care if they get killed in the process. Ever notice that Iran is not a free society?

Everyone should fear Iran only a fool would not. If you think they would not use it against the US you better think again. They hate the US and what it stands for FREEDOM

Hi,
call me whatever you will, but it is not US that fears Iran's nuclear bomb, but Israel. and as they have a huge influence on the US, they are using US to stop any of their adversaries from equalling Israels military might. if US was worried about someone harming them witha nuke, they would have stopped North Korea as they are more likely to attack american bases in japan. but as we have seen lately, america is more interested in the middle east. why? simply because Israel doesn't want anyone to match her military might. Hence the attack on Iraq and now Threats to Iran and Syria.

Iran would probably use garbage cans as missles to put the warheads in and then get them airborne by sticking a bunch of fireworks to the bottom of the garbage cans. so, i think America need not fear.

It's not so much fear as the fact that the US is really NOT trying to use our nukes.
