Because, my friend, the American Medical Association (AMA) has a hell of a lot more political clout and influence and their hundreds of paid lobbyists in Washington bribe a hell of a lot more politicians than the American Engineers Society does!

The USA has plenty of doctors and good ones,we also have engineers but since they are in high demand all over the world,they can go to any country that is offering more money.The USA needs engineers that will stay in the US.
I disagree I don't think doctors from other nations are looked down on here in the USA.There are many well respected doctors from other nations here in the US.

I don't know if you've heard, but hospitals are shutting down all over the US due to bankruptcy. Hospitals are going bankrupt because they can't refuse giving medical attention to all the illegals who will never pay the medical bills. On the other hand, there is a huge demand for engineers right now. Employers are even hiring people who don't have and degree in engineering but have the knowledge.

dad and mom choose us to be that for some reason...and it fetches a good type of money lol btw: That curry remark is irrelevant...in case your gonna comic tale, a minimum of make it unique. i'm ill of curry. Yeah, thats good. i'm Indian and that i hate it at the same time as human beings equate us with curry.

We had lots of East Indian doctors at our hospital in the San Francisco bay area . . . maybe you applied where there were no current openings ?
Visit the bay area and check out at least a dozen hospitals . . . go for it !

doctors are easier to come by in the US maybe, and engineers don't tend to stay in the US after they get their degrees, also... doctors from foreign countries are often looked down on in the US but engineers are looked at highly

Americans think their medicine is best. That is incorrect. In other nations they treat the person and not merely the disease.
