http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/mosque-to-get-police-guard-for-bikini-rally/2006/12/02/1164777846230.html?from=rss

From the story:

The caretaker of Lakemba Mosque, the Lebanese Muslim Association, says it is taking no risks, requesting at least 32 police officers to protect the place of worship on Saturday and Sunday.

Association president Tom Zreik said he met police on several occasions to ensure there would be adequate numbers of officers present to defuse problems and arrest troublemakers.

"We are treating this as something that is funny and hilarious but also taking precautions," Mr Zreika said of the bikini march. "Some people may see this as provocation and the last thing that we want is to see anyone being attacked."

Thanks in2322 for the reminder of this letter. I think it should be shown again.
Editor’s note: Kevin Tillman joined the Army with his brother Pat in 2002, and they served together in Iraq and Afghanistan. Pat was killed in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004. Kevin, who was discharged in 2005, has written a powerful, must-read document.

It is Pat’s birthday on November 6, and elections are the day after. It gets me thinking about a conversation I had with Pat before we joined the military. He spoke about the risks with signing the papers. How once we committed, we were at the mercy of the American leadership and the American people. How we could be thrown in a direction not of our volition. How fighting as a soldier would leave us without a voice… until we get out.

Much has happened since we handed over our voice:

Somehow we were sent to invade a nation because it was a direct threat to the American people, or to the world, or harbored terrorists, or was involved in the September

I have been talking with a filipina girl for about 8 months; chat, email, cam to cam, talk on phone and we have fallen in love with each other. I want to go there for vacation in order to meet her and if we both choose to, we want to get married ....I would like to bring her back with me when I return to USA after my vacation. Can I do that? If so what is involved in doing so?

At A Rate Of 3 Million + Per Year
Demanding that their children be educated in English,
insisting on welfare,
demonstrating for ballot papers in English rather than Spanish,
demanding voting rights for aliens,
celebrating July 4th rather than Cinco de Mayo,

could anyone trick the Mexicans
into thinking this was joyous diversity?

I Think No.

The Mexicans would recognize an invasion when they saw one.

They would open fire.

What Do YOU Think ??

where do they even get off having big families if they can't support the children,

If they are here just to feed thier children, wasn't that a preventable dilema, 5 kids and not a pot to piss in, hard to be compassionate with that mentality

Free Birth Control in clinics in both the US and Mexico

what gives, does anyone else see the absurdity of this

They will probably say Americans are cold and don't understand family love or something lol

Does this scare anyone else?

It makes the U.S. economy hostage to the whims of foreign investors, including governments. Eventually, they could decide they have better places to invest than in U.S. debt securities. This might be a gradual decision. Or it might not be. If the latter, it would cause a surge in interest rates (because the Treasury would have to offer more enticing terms to attract buyers) and trigger a recession.

...its defense and way of life depends upon product(s) produced in large measure by other countries?

If not, is the dependent country committed to the defense of others, just to ensure its own survival?

Wouldn't it be feasible for countries to define a core set of products necessary for its own survival; be able to completely produce those products internally; and, still promote global trade?

If feasible, would the cost of restructuring ones economy be worth it over the risk of dependence upon others for your soverignty and survival?

I came out of the grocery store to find a shopping cart on my car.It left a HUGE dent. The car is new,so I parked far away from every one else so I wouldn't get door-dings from careless slobs.Unfortunately all that extra room provided the cart with plenty of asphalt (it's a sloped parking lot) to gain a good deal of speed.
The problem I'm having with convincing the store to pay up is that I waited until the next day to report the incident. But I had what I feel is a good reason to wait.I wanted to go home and get my camera so I could get pictures of the parking lot,but the batteries in the camera were dead and needed to charge. The lot was FULL of abandoned shopping carts that day,and I wanted photographic evidence that the store wasn't taking reasonable measures to keep the lot orderly. But I wanted to get the pics BEFORE I made a complaint, otherwise they would've had the lot cleaned up.When I went back the next day the lot was full of carts again,so I was able to get lots of pics.
