If Carter would of went into Iran in 77 and freed our hostages the coup would of failed in Iran. The Iran and Iraq war wouldn't of happened. No Iran Contra, No gulf wars. This is looking through rose colored glasses maybe. But Carter is no one to be criticizing anyone on leadership of troop deployment in times of crisis. He was by far the most pathetic president America had in the post WWII era.

Bush never did have to go into Iraq. And Carter Tried to send in a team to free the hostages in Iran- but special ops didn't exist then.

A lot of problems might have been averted if Reagan hadn't given the Iranians and Iraqis weapons though...

first of all, the iranian "hostage takers", were a direct result of American involvement in Iran just like Saddam using chemical weapons was, in Iraq.
if you don't have a clue what really happened, you shouldn't open your Yap!
but i think Reagan giving weapons to those Iranian "hostage takers" had much more to do with it than anything carter did!

it is comical, however; that neocons blame everything that happens in other countries on democrat presidents, whiel nothiing that happens here is the fault of a republican one!

I guess your question seems relevant to you because you can't count to 3,000 - which is the number of good American soldiers now dead because of Bush's blunder.
Get real.
