If you live in a city where cops will not even ask if a person is a citizen and help the feds then why not just break any law you want because the city or town do not feel that laws are that important, right?

Funerals are scheduled in Baghdad today after more than 50 people were killed yesterday in a triple car bombing in a Shi'ite neighborhood.
Who the hell is responsible for all these casualties, mostly civilians??!!!

I went to my friend hse and left my ipod there then went out with my friend to buy something. I had left my things there many times before and had no problem until now. While we were out, my friend's friend who is a young celebrity came to his hse and the mother let him. When we got back to his hse, my ipod was missing and the celebrity had already left.

I called him and when i question him he said he might have thrown it out with the trash which was kind of ridiculous. After some talking, he agreed to pay back in cash and said to give him some time. He also promised to put his Gameboy as a deposit until he have the cash.

However, after tat conversation with him, it was near impossible to reach him. For the next few weeks, he was always not at home and his hp is always off. And now my friend informed me that he seems to have moved house.

What can i do now? If i make a police report will i have enough to charge him? And since hes a celebrity can i write to the newspaper?

An interesting question for me. Would you prefer a visionary or someone who follows a sort of realpolitik? Which would be better for our country at this point in time? At any point in time? This question actually influences my choices, who I support, etc. so I think it is worth discussing. For my own interest, would you mind stating your political party as well? I want to see if a particular option runs in a given party. Explanations appreciated. Here's my viewpoint:

I would likely support a pragmatist now. That is more of what we need than an idealist. We are in a mess everywhere, and someone needs to take charge. We don't need to introduce new ideals or goals, we need to meet the ones we already have set in place. At this point, I think a pragmatist would be more effective.

I'm neither Republican nor Democrat, but conservative.

i recently invested some money into a stock, my husband assured me it would be safe, i was a student with limited savings and out of work, he has been doing stocks for years, i asked him if it would be safe, he said yes so i invested in it, over aperiod of 9 months the stock went down, i was losing my money rapidly, in the end my husband advised me to sell it at a big loss and reinvest in another stock and give the 2nd stock 7 weeks to improve, that way it would give me bacl ALL my money, he said it would be a much quicker way than waiting for the 1st one to improve, he guaranteed my money back if there was no improvement, after 7 weeks there was none, i offered to extend twice making it 14 weeks longer for it to improve, it got steadily worse and worse, in the end my husband refunded me the second stock losses but has said the first stock is MY responsibilty and i must accept the losses so i have offered to pay him back as he refunded me in full then he said it is my responsibility

I work for a company.....i work from 5-5 some and probably most days. The regular time would be 7-3. If I couldnt work overtime, could i be fired from the job? Can they really do that?...That wouldnt really be fair or right. Could this company be in trouble for firing a worker becasue he or she couldnt work overtime? But the problem would be that this State is "At Will". How could you prove that they had fired you becasue you couldnt work overtime? I read the company's employee orientation packet and stuff. And it didnt say that overtime is Mandatory. I thought Overtime was Optional

A case in the Massachusetts is reviving the issue as the case of Terri Schiavo, who was in a persistent vegetative state when a state court ordered the removal of her feeding tube. (http://www.boston.com/news/local/massachusetts/articles/2006/12/03/after_buddhist_dies_legal_battle_continues/?page=1)

Last week, doctors declared Cheng, who suffered cardiac arrest the day after Thanksgiving, brain-dead and said it was time to remove him from the ventilators and intravenous medicines keeping his organs functioning.

But the family refused to let doctors take Cheng off the life-support system because his heart was still beating. They said their belief as Buddhists was that Cheng's beating heart meant his spirit and consciousness was not ready to move on. Taking him off life support, they said, would be the same as killing him.

The case is still being litigated though Cheng has since died.

Can a person be dead when his heart is still beating? What do you think?

out by the die-hard Bush supporters. Why did V.P. Cheney say we would be greeted as liberators? Why didn't Cheney and Bush tell the American people we could possibly be there for ten years or longer while the government of Iraq became stable. Maybe because the American people wouldn't go for that idea? When is this endless game of deception and goal changes going to end?

The people over there(terrorist) are not intimidated by our soldiers. There is not any competition at all for them. They know who we are and we have no idea who they are tiil were dead !!! us being there is not stopping the terrorist from coming here at all. That has nothing to do with anything. These are religeuos barbarions that are seeing us being there only making their target (americans) easier to get to and the more they kill the more they feel empowerd by it. This war to them is like throwing 20 peices of meat into a den of 100 lions and expecting the meat to fight their way out !!!! This war was to liberate the people of Iraq not to fight terrorism.!!!but by in trying to liberate them the terrorism thing goes hand in hand and are forces were not equipt or trained properly (or if it had to be) not enough sent to actually do any good.. This war was not thought out enough before jumping the gun and just throwing our soldiers to the LIONS
