Ho Chi Min once said " The Army of North Vietnam will win this war not on the battlefields, but in the streets of America"

The insurgents are doing only what the US has been doing to them since the first Gulf War. You should consider this other side of the question before posing it in the first place, don't you think?

Dont you think the civilians are doing what they did to them. Its time to pull out of Iraq and spend money in more responsible, more efficient way.Why dont you just believe the lie from bush about mission accomplished, and let the democrats clean up the republicans mess they made. And lay off the troops, being as my dad was a vietnam vet, Im sure if the troops knew the truth they wouldnt have joined in the first place. Why do we have the lowest recruitment rate in decades? They are fighting in Iraq because they were lied to by our government. Not to fight terrorism.

Ottoman" is right.
I read alot about higher standards. How many "murders" have been committed by allied troops in Iraq. How about rapes? How about torture at Gitmo and other places around the world. The US has lost the moral "HIghground" a long time ago. I abhor the murder of American solders as I see them as victims of the US administation. The US has rewritten the rules of war, by not recognizing "Geneva".

There is no doubt in my mind, we must be as aggressive and nasty as our adversaries! The do nice tactics of the previous administration were obviously a dismal failure.
Think about it. Here we are trying to appease the Arab world and who does Clinton send out as his spokesperson, a holocaust survivor! What is that? Was his intent to rub their faces in the clevage of a Jewish women? How stupid and insensitive was that man, but I digress!
Dresden, Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and many more less noted battles of WWII, were what won the war. There were no 'feel good' policies, actually the president was rarely heard from, he left the war to the admirals and generals to do what they do best.
We know who the enemy is, yet we keep floundering around on the ground, doing mundane tasks, and losing more and more of our sisters and brothers. We know who the snake is, now it's time we cut off his head. If you have doubt, let me be the first to tell you, the snake is Iran.

NO! What do you think will happen to our troops when they get back the the US?
What makes you think they won't snap and start killing their fellow Americans if they start doing those kinds of things? It's called post traumatic stress disorder, and that's what happened to a lot of our vets from Vietnam.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere near someone who's committed a beheading.

I think they should but the U.S abides by the Geneva Convention which outlines rules of engagement. In it, Gorilla war far is not permitted. Not that they insurgents follow it though.

Europe among others haven't like America for a while, this didn't start with the Bush Administration you know, and it is for the reason of trying to keep our image up that we don't do those things, but people are going to think of us what they want.
They called us imperialists when we went to war to save the Muslims being slaughtered at the hands of the Christians fascists lead by Slobodan Milosevic .

There's no long term, even moderate length of term, sense in exacerbating the vengeful mindset of insurgents and further inspiring al Qaida, et al.

That's too funny. Yup , it would go far towards winning hearts and minds, only how can we know whom to blow up with car bombs and IEDs? Its not like any of them wear uniforms.
