Both parties have changed from the old traditional positions and no longer can claim a firm position. Factions within each party have split the directions so badly that each party has so many flaws it is now necessary to seperate issues to make a good plan on which party to follow. We can only hope new leadership that is starting out in Washington in January will find the strength to cast aside the old party leadership and start a fresh direction. The Clinton, Pelosi and Kennedy groups have held back progress too long. Just as the republicans have leadership that keeps the party from becoming viable. Time will enable newly elected officials to try and fix the problems. The results will decide which party I vote for next election. I am a registered Republican because of the false impressions the democrats have been pushing for twenty years or more.

I am a Democrat because I can help out the Democratic Party and make sure that ALL of the Democrats; male and female; young and old; are back into the White House to take back EVERYTHING that is rightfully theirs.

I'm a registered democrat but where I stand on issues is both ways... I tend to look at our future, and what we do now, how it would effect us later down the road..
I'm pro-choice- because if we outlawed it, there would be more babies in dumpsters, more babies born drug addicted, more babies born with FAS, more babies born with HIV and other diseases
pro gay marriages- because I think all American Citizens deserve the same rights, privileges, and freedoms as any other regardless of their lifestyle
I like the Patriot Act and Military Commissions Act- I think our safety should be our #1 priority
That's just a couple of the issues- that I'm on both sides of the fence with... The pro-choice and pro-gay marriage would be Democrat side.. the Acts would be Republican side.. I'm smack dab in the middle.. leaning toward Democrat

A registered Democrat only because of the lack of alternative parties with a say in how things are done.

Democrat, I was not that involved in politics in the 1990's. I was a steady Clinton supporter, b/c I though the country was on the right path.

When Dubya came in and I saw 9/11, the bogus War in Iraq, healthcare, illegal immigration, and education going outta control, $3 a gallon, and a burden on the middle class, I became an active Democrat

I am not registered for the Dems, but I usually vote Democrat,

I was a Democract, then I went to the right after the September 11th attacks. Recently, I've been moving back to my Democrat roots, basically because I've lost faith in the GOP. They've flubbed up Iraq (there's no one who'll say it's been successful), screwed up our national finances, and no longer show compassion for those less fortunate. They're also the party of intolerance.

I vote Republican because I agree with them on more issues. I don't agree on everything but I do on most things.

I love how liberals give a thumbs down just because you say you vote Republican.
