I have noticed that those that believe in God are either conservative (republican) or liberal (democrat), but it is rare to find atheists that are conservative. If you are a conservative athiest, why do you think that the majority of atheists are liberal (if you think that at all). Thanks.

What are some good arguments against the reinstatement of the military draft?

What is a good alternative/solution to the draft?

If you wrote a letter against the draft to someone who could influence it, who would you write it to (Representative? Senator? President?) and what would you say?

Read more about the bill to reinstate the military draft here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20061119/pl_nm/usa_politics_draft_dc

simson has suggested a hitman killed ron and nicole. none of the assertions explain sinpson's behavior following the murders, such as the self-incriminating statement to police, the attempt to flee, the sucidal note, the apologies to the police who eventually arrested him,the inability to remember how he had cut his finger to the bone the night of the murders, or his differing statement about his wherebouts during the time of the murders. in addition, none of this explains how simpsons dna was on the murder scene and the victims blood was inside his car and his home. another theory that has been put 4th is that simipson son, jason simpson, committed the murders.this is the central theory book by williams dear'o.j. is gulity, but not of murder'.this book attempts to explain simpsons's incriminating behavior and the incriminating evidence and it also presents an alernative theory of how the murders took place.
P.S. IF SOME ONE COULD PLEASE GIVE ME A SHORT ESSAY ON IT I WOULD APPRECITE IT! thanksssssssssssss

hatred for illegals, could we just not turn our hate against the government of those countries, who allow their people to suffer from hunger and basic necesseties? I think that is where the real solution to illegal immigration is.

Escaped Convict Captured After 33 Years

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 3) - A convicted murderer who escaped from a work release program 33 years ago was captured in Alabama, where he had been working construction jobs using his real name, U.S. Marshals announced Saturday.

Billy Wayne Hayes, 57, was arrested by marshals and police Friday night at a gas station in Dothan, Ala., nearly 350 miles from Nashville, where he had been imprisoned.

Hayes was sentenced in 1968 to serve 10 years at the Tennessee State Prison for second-degree murder in the shooting death of William Howard Ferguson, a Nashville paint contractor. He was assigned to a work release program and never returned after signing out for work on Dec. 21, 1972.

Tennessee Department of Corrections spokeswoman Dorinda Carter said Hayes' case was so old that information on it was not in the department's current computer system and would not be available until Monday.

I ask this because some mainstream web sites which are advocates for men estimate that up to 40 percent of rape accusaitons are false. Feminist web sites say 2 percent. I tend to believe it somewhere in between. Should lie detector tests in which there is no DNA, no rape kit, accusation made way after the fact, or during a nasty divorce or child custody case be given? The idea is not to use the test results in court, but just to determine if the police should continue their investigation. This policy WOULD NOT apply to women who have DNA in their bodies, those who have been beaten up and those who make the reports and get the proper tests (rape kit, police report, rape crisis center, etc.)

I say this because I know there are women out there who will false claims for sympathy or because they had an affair or other similar motives. I also a news story where the police did administer a test to a woman they suspected of making up a rape. She failed the test.

Any comments?

We received a chain letter in the mail it stated," that if everyone sends a dollar a piece to each of the six names on the list and then placed your own name on the list and mailed it to two hundred people who then did the same thing. The money would just keep rotating, with each rotation each name rotates down the list until it flips over six times and everybody is rich. It sounds like a scam and probably is but it seems like if everyone did like it says it just may work.Is this legal and does it work?

My daughter a few years ago wanted to kill her self. so we put her in counseling, and one time she objected to sign a contract that said she promised to not cut herself anymore. The counseler called the police and the cop told her they would take her to a mentel health center.
why did the cop have to scare her like that? that dont even seem right.
....but I suppose in the long run she turned her life around and did decide to become a forensic investigater.
