Well, Betty's been busy! No, as a left-winger I certainly wouldn't have described Blair as great. He's further right than the patrician Tory goverments of fifty years ago! However after 18 years of the previous scum I was pleased to see him (or almost anybody else actually). That is until Iraq. He could have been remembered as the PM who brought peace to Northern Ireland. Instead he'll be remembered as the man who supported a corrupt US administration in an unjustified war costing thousands of lives to which there is no forseeable end. Good job there's no national service eh?

Tony Blair did start off on the right foot doing good for the country, then he surely failed everyone. It is no reason why he has been forced to step daown next year before he does anymore damage to the country. Tony Blair is full of s**t and he knows he is. He cannot do anymore damage to the beautiful country I once knew as growing up as a little lad. I pity the teenagers and young people of today of what they have to face in years to come. No pensions, No Welfare Benefits, etc. It is getting like America, pay for everything or get nowt.

No one in their right mind should think that he is great. What's so great about him, he is to stupid to think for himself. And he's following after one of the biggest idiots on the planet. George Bush.
Tony Blair should be thought of as that idiot git who is helping to murder innocent men, women and children, who have done nothing to our country's.

He should be rated as a brilliant politician and as a very good leader who had one fatal flaw. He believed what he was told by the grotesque George Bush and followed him to disaster in Iraq. So not GREAT, but very very good.
And I certainly have no need to "hold my head in shame" as you suggest in making this judgement!
