I think it'd be a shame if they left, cos they're a good laugh and they add to making the UK the finest country in the world, along with the English, Welsh and the N Irish.

No, not if they don't want to be.
I think it would good for them to separate, after all their MP's can vote for changes to England and English law, but English MP's can't
I would like my council tax and Income tax that I have paid towards Scotland's upkeep and defense back though.
Each Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish person receives £1300 per head more than anyperson in England for education, health care and social services. A government report December 2004 found that Scotland is being subsidised by English taxpayers to the tune of £7.7 billion a year, one third of the total budget of the Scottish Parliament’s
Executive. Scotland’s budget is now double what it was before it got its own parliament.

Only if they still want the English to subsidse them. Given our treatment of the Scots in the past and the part they've played in the advancement of the Union they are quite welcome so far as I'm concerned. If they choose the other path they'll have a good income from the whisky but not much else.

It is up to the voters of Scotland, but if they do, they will become just another very small nation ( less than 5 million) on the fringes of Europe.
I would hate to have such as Alex Salmond or any politician as my President.
It would have no affect on the economy of England (50 million plus)

Its a matter of National pride and the ability to think (and act) independantly. The Declaration of Arbroath put it very well ...

for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom — for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself ...

Yeah go all isolationist run by your nationilists.

Watch them blame England when they run your economy in to the ground. - instead of accepting self-responsibility.

The Union has been good for each country - culturally, economically, and because we share most of the same values weve fought together against common enemies for generations and 2 World Wars. And if you are going, take back Gordon Brown and all your Scottish born MPs from Westminster.

No it should split. The Scots all hate the English and it would be a good opportunity for them to realise that we the English have supported them economically for far too long. Good riddance, they can take their cold wet miserable country and live happily ever after in it.
