Or would you just go along with their philosophical/political program?

China might do this one day so I'm just asking!

"us" Meaning United States.

The "threat", can be either existent, or non-existent. In the end it's just an excuse. Hitler used it, and so did we in Iraq.

If an American insurgent, would you use any means necessary? During the American revolution, patriots sniped the Brits, shot from behind trees and conducted night raids. All considered barbaric tactics at the time.

That's what happened in the American civil war; the North invaded the south and the southerners became insurgents.

Now maybe people can better understand why Iraq can't be pacified by the US until we leave.

if there isn't anything else that can be counted on around here, it is definitely ruth once again, not having anything sensible to add.

I think everyone in the US would be an insurgent, except for those toads who sit behind their computer hating their fellow Americans, and making sensless threats, because they have nothing to worry about, because no one else online lives in their trailor park anyway!

That would depend on the circumstances.Only the Sunnis are insurgents. The Shia are plain murderers.None of them really are sad Saddam is gone.

if we (the US) first had first invaded a neighboring country, say Canada, then we were defeated in a war to remove us and we surrendered and then violated the terms of the surrender and then if this occupier deposed a dictator and established a democracy and agreed to leave as soon as we were safe...
i would be dancing in the streets.

Well, it sort of depends. If the liberals take up arms and start slaughtering all Christians, Jews, and non-liberals, I might consider it a liberation.

You didn't factor that in.

EDIT: So you can just conveniently ignore the ruthless slaughter of thousands, by Saddam, as an excuse? Pathetic.

America is always right and the invading county would be evil so we would have to destroy them. see how easy it is to get the right answer. American insurgents would target the enemy army not women and children in buildings, nor would they saw heads off while praising god. see the difference?

It has already happened, I don't think it was because we were seen as a threat, but we are being invaded and occupied by Mexicans.

Yes: Most definitely and so would every one else who has ever been in the military. Can't say the same about the so called liberal intellectuals, the ones who were protest marching while we were up to our rear ends in the rice paddies.
