The question is the region MORE stable. The answer is No. Sectarian violence has already brought countries like Iran and Lebanon into the fold. When you have surrounding countries funding terrorism in a neighboring country I wouldn't call that stability. Whenever there is a war in a region that leads to refugees fleeing the country into neighboring countries that may or may not want them there, it creates more instability. Ongoing war never makes a place more stable. It's only logical.

I will understate the problem. Democracy did not flower as predicted by Bush, Cheney and Rice. The only good news is that Iran may not be that far along with its nuclear weapons program. Israel has advanced weapons, and the one of the best equipped military forces in the world Perhaps they can deal with the problem of their neighbor, Iran, just as China is helping with the N Korea nuclear issue.

It was stirring earlier. It is exploding today on a daily basis. The worse is yet to come, that is after US exits. There would be probably a showdown between Powerful Sunni leader, Saudi Arabia and a Nuclear Iran in their attempt to safeguard the interests of Shias and Sunnis in Iraq.

No, all you need to do is to look at how many people die each morning in Baghdad, the situation in Lebanon which increasingly looks like the government may fall in favour of a terrorist organization, and in Iran which was becoming more moderate 4-5 years ago and is now in the hands of a man who wants to obliterate Israel.
What will happen? God only knows but the rpesence of foreign tropops appears to be exacrerbating the situiation, not improving it. It is like the old story of opening a can of worms. Once it is open, it is hard to get the worms back in.

There have consistently been problems in the midsection East, yet whilst the U. S. have been given in contact we escalated them. Now we are getting in contact in Iran, who in 2005 tried a take a seat down communicate with Bush over their relationship, hoping to assist it - and we basically disregarded them. it quite isn't any ask your self the midsection East hates us, we circled and called Iran the axis of evil interior of months of them helping us to choose American authorized leaders for Afghanistan and look for Osama, to no longer point out Iran and Saddam hated one yet another. we've became Iraq right into a community of no shape, some thing it a minimum of had besides the fact that if under a dictatorship. the undertaking is united statesa. does not see the midsection East as yet another united states of america with way of existence and human beings, the midsection East has develop into fullyyt a community of source.

It will be a mess long after we leave.. If Iran gets any nukes...the first ones may be used against israel, setting off a nuclear response from Israel that will not be pretty. If any country in the region helps Iran they could get a little present from Israel as well...

Saudi Arabia (Sunni) doesn't like Iran (Shiite) getting involved in Iraq. Lebanon is going nuts trying to drive out the US backed government. Israel and the Palestinians are going after each other. And Afghanistan is producing record crops for heroin production, not to mention the Taliban are resurgent.
Bush blew it on a colossal scale. Who knows, maybe he DID start Armageddon.

Now that the mission is accomplished you can clearly see that Iraq is in a state of Peace. The Religion of Peace has done a good job helping with the Peaceful transition from a Secular Dictatorship to a 3 party Theocracy.

There is definitely a decrease in the slaughtering of innocents, who had the misfortune of disagreeing with Saddam.
As to leaving the ME while Iran is buying arms from Russia, I for one, think that is a proper reason to stay.
