I looked at my voter registration card, and there is a listing for district, senate, congressional, school dist, and commission. How do I find out what "place" I belong to so that I can research the candidates. For this election the place seems to be tied to electing judges. Help!

Currently, to maintain troop strength in Iraq, our military has a
"stop loss" program in place where military having served can
be forced to continue to serve beyond their original term.

How long should we continue this policy?

He has been charged with sexual misconduct, for assulting my adult daughter, but there are many more women that he has assulted. He gave them a discount ont their guttering work, and they have let him put a camera in their window so he can be sure I am not bothering anything of his. This is another form of his harrassing us. We run a small shop, and have a small room for adult novelties, and the church accused us of not belonging in a small town like ours. They were rude and crude to us, but they do not know about this neighbor. He hasn't been convicted yet, but I have a list of names that I talked to personally that he has assulted sexually. Our prosecutor doesn't seem to want to prosecute on the other complaints that have been filed. If he had, this wouldn't have happened to my daughter. This man has even raped. If I send this letter to the church, am I opening up myself to a law suit?

1. Even accepting the most optimistic predictions, the deficit will not be cut in half. The article asserts that the deficit for this year may end up being $270 billion, or 2.1% of GDP. Even accepting that optimistic assessment, the 2004 deficit was $412 billion or 3.5% of GDP. For those of us living in reality, that’s not cutting the deficit in half.

The White House projected a deficit of $512 billion for 2004, but that never happened. At the time, budget experts warned the number was inflated for political purposes.

2. The budgetary outlook for 2006 has degraded by about $800 billion since Bush took office. In January 2001, the Congressional Budget Office predicted a $505 billion surplus for 2006. The optimistic deficit number pushed by International Business Daily is still $775 billion worse.

Okay- please don't reply if you are going to bash me or make me feel worthless. I need some serious info. here. I have multiple learning dissabilities that have caused me to struggle through this election stuff. I really want to vote, so that I feel like I have made a conscious effort to better the U.S., but I dont understand what/ whom we are voting for. Can someone give me some facts, ( not opinions), on the candidates, what they are running for, and what they stand for or are agaist, ( the candidates, not you). Do I still have time to vote, and where do I go?
Thank you for any helpful advice you can offer.

Wondering about the conservatives out there. Do you prefer our current Neo-Con leadership or would you rather go back to conservative roots and have leaders who Goldwater Conservatives? Would you vote for a Goldwater Conservative over a Neo-Con?

Instead of using TA and Top-Up I am considering trying to use TA and at the same time receive full monthly GI Bill. I want to do this first off because I only need an extra 400 dollars for what TA doesnt cover. Top-Up dips into my GI Bill and gives me the amount I need but the rest of my full month amount I would lose. So I would like to use TA and GI Bill so I can atleast pocket the remaining 600 bux or so. Is this possible? If so how do I go about this?
