Okay- please don't reply if you are going to bash me or make me feel worthless. I need some serious info. here. I have multiple learning dissabilities that have caused me to struggle through this election stuff. I really want to vote, so that I feel like I have made a conscious effort to better the U.S., but I dont understand what/ whom we are voting for. Can someone give me some facts, ( not opinions), on the candidates, what they are running for, and what they stand for or are agaist, ( the candidates, not you). Do I still have time to vote, and where do I go?
Thank you for any helpful advice you can offer.

You should be able to go to the website of your local state or county and find any initiatives that are on the ballot. Many counties have set up websites that show you where eaach canidate stands on the issues. At least on the county website, you should be able to get links to the local canidates websites, so you can learn a little more about them.

Also most television stations and newspapers have a website. A lot of times, they will post information on the issues. The only problem is that they tend to be a little liberaly biased. But they may have links to other sites where you can get the information. Good luck in your search for the right information.

many states now allow you to register at the polls.

no, i cannot unless i know where you live.
because each state and locality has different folks running.
there are no national offices (like president) being filled with this election.
just do some googling and see who is running in your state/city/county/district.
usually the newspaper will also run an election section that tells who all is running for what and what they stand for.
go vote anyway. leave it blank if you can't decipher it.
you cannot vote unless you registered previously.
be sure to register to vote before the next election if you are not registered.

Go on-line and bring up the site for voting in your state....it'll tell you everything about each candidate so that you can vote for who you think is best.

Go to your state's website and look for the election information there. Also, do a search for "Voter's Guide" for your state and/or county to see if there are any third-party guides available.

If you are a social conservative and/or believes in the power of big business then vote GOP. If you are a social libertarian and/or believes in justice for the downtrodden then vote democrat.

Everything is specific to the state in which you live. You need to tell us your state.
