The 26th Amendment was ratified in 1971 and allowed persons age 18 to vote for the first time in the general election of 1972 (which meant they voted in 1971 for the President to be sworn into office in '72 and FYI 55% of those between 18 and 21 voted that year). See below link for further info.

Do you know why?
By the government draft, we were being sent to a Farand land to shout the yellow man.We were ask to die for our Democracy rites but we could not vote in a Democracy land.
