Sure the Second Amendment gives you the right to own a gun.But I disagree...the truth is that if nobody had guns then nobody would get shot but that's not the case.I still think that we should ban guns.I mean say you get pissed of at someone and you just pull out a gun and shoot em.You probably regret that but now you spend the rest of your life in jail?

I believe Bush is the answer. This nation is in fine shape due to Bush's "Staying the course" methods. Most democrats would have given up long ago-Losers!!!

The economy has never been better and there are plenty of jobs if you want to work. Quit crying on the left and join the Right in living the American Dream through Bush.

Well, now that we've had six years of GOP-controlled government, the Christian Right ought to be pretty happy. After all, they've made abortion illegal.

Wait, no, they didn't, did they?

Well, at least they outlawed gay marriage.

Uhm. No, not that either.

But they've guaranteed the right to group prayer in schools, right?

Gee, no.

But they've supported the display of the 10 commandments in public buildings.

Nope, missed that one, too.

Well, at least they've mandated that it's OK to teach Creationism in public schools.

Hmmm. Missed that one, too.

So, have all you people on the Christain Right figured out yet that the Republicans really don't CARE about these issues, all they care about is getting your vote?

She was way down in the polls, but she has a way of working magic here in Florida. Personally, I didn't really like either one in that Senate race.

Unions are almost always straight through pushing for the Democrats... why is this? And why if Bush has been in power for the past six years, nothing has changed in the Union my boyfriend works for? Is this on a state level or government level? This is important for our votes today.

This is sort of a poll. Do you have the same political party leanings as your parents, or are you different? Why do you think that is?

It seems he is the worst president we have ever had, everybody in the world (outside of 38% or Americans and maybe Tony Blaire) does not like him. He took our country from having the support of the world (just post 911) to being among the most hated. He has basically thrown away billions into a war in Iraq presummably for his own gain (oil money) and he is not smart. Why do the poeple that support him still support him. I realize he has not do all bad, I cannot recall anything good that he has done but I know it is there. I am looking or a legitimate answer to this question, but bush bashing is also welcomed

I don't think so at all. I guess there is a study out about genetics dictating it.
I doubt it. What do you guys think? It's gotta be nature and environment... and people change over the course of their lives!

As a Brit I don't get why people in the US are so against taxes. We pay higher tax than in the US but we also have a completely free (and rather good) public health system, a good social security safety net, pretty good public transport, a cracking public education system and loads more.

In Sweden they pay more tax than we do and their education is the best in the world, as is their social security system AND they all get free child care.

Could some US residents please explain why in America taxes are considered bad?

SENSIBLE ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE. I don't want a flame war between conservatives and "liberals"
