It seems he is the worst president we have ever had, everybody in the world (outside of 38% or Americans and maybe Tony Blaire) does not like him. He took our country from having the support of the world (just post 911) to being among the most hated. He has basically thrown away billions into a war in Iraq presummably for his own gain (oil money) and he is not smart. Why do the poeple that support him still support him. I realize he has not do all bad, I cannot recall anything good that he has done but I know it is there. I am looking or a legitimate answer to this question, but bush bashing is also welcomed

easy greatful dead, we don't need name calling, the thing that you need to consider is that 62 to 67 % of the population and the rest of the world probably are not the brain washed "idiots"

I think the only reason the war on terror is in Iraq still is because we are there. Benjamin Ferenccz, a former chief prosecutor of the Nuremberg Trials is trying to get Bush prosecuted for war crimes and that does not seem unreasonable. Yes I agree that we cannot pull out of there now, not withough losing face, and we probably had to go there, but we went about it the wrong way

What most Americans dont realize is that Bush is not the source of the evil. He is the smiling, stupid puppet face, and takes the rap for all the problems, but what we need to think about is who is making the puppet move? Whose hand is that? Bush can't have started a war just for his own personal gain, somebody would have stopped him, and that hasnt happened. Logically, he's got to be working for other peoples interests besides his own. Look into groups like the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) the Trilateral Comission, and the Bilderbergers. What is their agenda? I think thats the real question here.

First, let me correct a false assumption. Neither Bush nor Cheney are making any money off of this war.

We support Bush for the following reasons:

1. He has cut taxes for ALL taxpayers.
2. His policies have revived the economy.
3. Unemployment is at very low levels. 4.4% last I heard.
4. All income group's wages are going up again.
5. He has actually done the things he said he would do.

And perhaps most importantly, he is the only one offering a sane solution on Iraq. Yes, invading Iraq was a mistake. They had no WMDs to speak of and their WMD program was in disarray. That still doesn't change the fact that Iraq IS where the war on terror is taking place now.

To cut and run, or redeploy, or abandon Iraq by any other name will result in the following:
1. Terrorists defeating the greatest superpower the world has ever known, resulting in their total loss of fear of the USA.
2. Terrorists taking over Iraq and becoming a haven and sponsor of future terrorism.
3. Funding that terrorism with oil sales.
4. Probably hundreds of thousands of Iraqis killed in civil war and then retaliation.
5. Mass oppression of Iraqis.
6. Since they won't be fighting us there, the terrorists will start attacking America or American interests around the world.
7. Our other allies in the middle-east and the world learn they cannot count of the USA to stand by them, as we've just abandoned the gov't we helped put in place.

If someone else was offering a better solution that avoided these problems, then I would be supporting that person and party. Unfortunately, that person and party do not exist, so these are the reasons I support Bush.

Americans specialize in living in a bubble these days, being largely undereducated and misinformed by the mass entertainment media.
So it's easy for Bush to have supporters...for millions of US residents who can't/don't bother to imagine life anywhere else on earth, the world is kind of like one big sports arena, and the President is the quarterback of the home team.
You don't need to look any deeper than that...it's just a kneejerk rallying instinct to "Support the USA," and by default, whoever sits in the White House.
And don't underestimate the money and energy spent making up stories to explain why he's a good guy for the job.
He can still have supporters because there are huge ad campaigns endlessly working to lie on his behalf, telling people that they should support him.
Flashy graphics and sound effects carry a lot of weight.

all in all bush is an average president. A little better than Clinton not even close to Reagan. I support the war in Iraq, Just like 85% of our democrat legislators did after 9/11. When they started to see that it was unpopular they opposed it. The liberal media NOT FOX news has done more to dumb the American people than anything else. No Bush is not the best president ever but he certainly is not the worse.

The world hated us before Bush and they will continue to hate us after him. Anyone that thinks that the US has ever been held in high regard worldwide is, simply put - delusional.

How can he still have supporters you ask?

There are still some people in this country that believe in America and all that she stands for. Go figure

It is amazing isn't it? I can't believe even the most hardcore Republicans could continue to support a President who has made us the pariah of the world! He lied about the reasons for going to war, has caused the deaths of so many troops and innocent Iraqis', botched aid to Katrina victims, is generally embarrassingly stupid, and yet he is President for a second term.He is a perfect example of a reason to abolish the electoral college!

He still wears supporters because he still has a very active lifestyle.

Briefs would not provide him enough support while e.g. riding an offroad bike, and that could be painful.

An active, dynamic lifestyle is essential to a long , healthy, and active lifestyle, replete with dynamic activity and supporters support a dynamic lyfestyle which is essential to a long , healthy, and active lifestyle, without which it could be very painful while riding an offroad bike, which is good for you and helps with your health.

Finally, an active supporter bike lifestyle helps delay the onset of Repetitive Notion Syndrome.

No one else ran against him, other than that treasonous coward Kerry. I could not bring myself to vote for Hanoi John, just as I couldn't vote for cowardly Clinton the draft dodger. I ask you who would have been a better choice and why?

There is still a hardcore group of Republicans feel that even the worst GOP member is better than the best Dem.

And there are folks who earnestly, honestly believe in him and what he is doing (or trying to do.)
