I don't believe most people because my husband is a illegal immigrant and I know the truth, not just what I hear. That's how most people think they get their facts, but their wrong.

Maybe some of us know more and have been through more than you think. I spent three weeks in a Mexican village and a total of sixteen hours ALONE in Mexico City on the sidewalk because the armed guards would not let me in the immigration building with my husband. I left my son there and flew back to the US alone to get some forgotten papers so that I wouldn't have to leave my husband there. It was difficult and expensive and we could not afford it without taking out loans, but if we could do it why can't you? Doesn't it beat sitting around waiting to be deported? I know plenty about legal and illegal immigration. You couldn't grow up in my town and remain ignorant about it. And most of the illegals I've known have bad attitudes, probably because the fear of being deported turns into anger--or in some cases they have no fear of it and they laugh at how easy it is to fool the stupid 'gringos'.

More information please. Let me answer something which might not be the answer to your question. Illegal immigrants, are illegal immigrants. Yes we are too judgemental about them, but than again, they are stealing our houses, our education and everything we deserve. They should do things fairly like some of us. We are all a stranger to the country we currently live in or where we are even born in. I dont like the kind of attitude some Americans have, being so proud of themselves and hating on illegal immigrants like that, as if they have never been an immigrant themselves.

That's right I came to this country with a K1 visa, got my residency a few months later and now I'm applying for citizenship, and I never been in welfare, I pay taxes, I pay for healthcare, even I have to pay for my kid education and child care, and I'm mexican, but is so easy for everybody to point the finger to one country when there's people from all over the world taking advantage of the system of the USA, even the born citizens of this country do it, I mean is not my fault that instead of going to school a lot of them choose to get in drugs and get medicare, wic and all of the programs that are there to help them, we're paying for them too, why don't you complain about them? Have you been in The stores that receive the link card in the state of Illinois in the first days of the month when they receive the money for that month? Well I've been there and there's not only mexicans using them, most of them are african american, and even whites and when they go out of the store they get in their new model car, and go home, but I don't see anybody talking trash about them.

Many don't pay taxes, many do get benefits with fake documents or through their children they have while illegally here.
You only know some people, Mendi8a, and the governmental statistics aren't likely to be lying.
Plus, poor people can't pay enough in taxes to cover education of their children and other services. That is why we subsidize our poor. Poor from other countries don't have a right to come here illegally and make us pay for them as well.

I HOPE THAT ALL YOUR ILLEGAL FRIENDS GET TO BE LEGAL BUT WE DO NEED TO CONTROL OUR BORDERS ESPECIALLY IN LIGHT OF 9/11. IF OUR BORDERS ARE MORE SECURE THEN EVERYBODY HERE INCLUDING ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WILL BE SAFER. I'LL BET AT LEAST ONE OR TWO OF THE PEOPLE WHO DIED ON 9/11 WERE ILLEGAL.
BUT AS FAR AS BIGOTRY GOES IT WOULD BE BEST TO PRAY BECAUSE NOTHING SHORT OF A MIRACLE IS GOING TO HELP WITH IGNORANCE.
ALSO I DON'T KNOW THAT MANY ALIENS BUT MY BEST FRIEND'S MOTHER IS FROM SPAIN AND IT TOOK HER DAD YEARS TO BE ABLE TO GET HER MOM'S SONS HERE AND THEY ALL AGREE THAT WE SHOULD ENFORCE IT EVEN IF IT MEANS WAITING YEARS THEY HAD TO AND THEY WERE THE STEP CHILDREN OF A NAVY MAN.
I THINK THAT THE ILLEGALS COULD USE SOME PATIENCE WHICH AS WE ALL KNOW IS A VIRTUE.
STILL THOUGH I AM ALL FOR ANYONE TRYING TO BETTER THEMSELVES. JUST DO IT LEGALLY.

I think these you should realize there is a reason for everything. I for one think if the people of Mexico practice birth control a lot of their problems would vanish. They keep having kids even when themselves they are wondering where the next meal is coming from by having children their problems only increase. They are responsible for the reality they create and have no right to show up in America saying we want a better life because we made poor choices in life please bail us out.If they truly wanted a better life once here they would stop having children. Stop doing everything that only put's them in the same position to why they came here

I am a US and British Citizen born in the UK. I have an American Mother and British Father. I moved to the US in 2002 and by right as a US Citizen I can work legally here and enjoy life in the USA. I like the lifestyle we have here and the privileges we can enjoy here in a free country. My wife just received her green card here and can now also enjoy the same privileges.
I have traveled and lived extensively in many parts of the world. Europe (Italy, Spain, France, UK, Switzerland, Germany, Poland); Asia (China, Japan, Mongolia); Latin America (Brazil, Chile, Belize, Argentina, Mexico, Peru). I have had the chance to meet with many cultures and experience what they have to offer.
In all my travels and meetings with other cultures and people I iwll be damned if I have ever met as many self appreciative, closed minded, ignorant individuals as I have in the US. People need to wake up and smell the coffee. Immigration is a millenia old age problem. The US is young and has yet to learn how to deal with many problems such as immigration that many other nations have had to deal with for far longer. I am not saying that there is any right or wrong way but to generalize the situation as was done by one individual in particular as follows is unacceptable and just plain ignorrant.
Quote:
"illegal ALIENS dont pay taxes,
illegal ALIENS can get welfare,
many illegal ALIENS kill and rape people
illegal ALIENS Falsely Depress Wages
illegal ALIENS Take Jobs Fom Citizens
illegal ALIENS Are Overwhelmong The US Infrastructure
Damaging Our Health, Education, And Welfare Systems
Stealing SS #s And Other Identification"
May I remind you that US citizens also do these same things. Do you think that other countries don't have exactly the same problem? As far as the health care issues are concerned I could right a freaking dissertation on the subject. In a nutshell though
1) People are overweight and indulgent and become unhealthy as a result of lifestyle choices = higher healthcare cost
2) People sue the crap out of each other here and judges stupidly pass those cases through = higher health care cost.
Back to the immigration problem. POLITICIANS WILL SCARE EVERYONE FOR VOTES!!!!!
So lets:
1) Get our facts straight
2) Quit bitching and try to solve the problem
3) Get our heads out of our asses and look around at how lucky and fortunate we are compared to other nations.
"Ladies and Gentlemen" Let me tell you we have it good here in the US and I know that we are good people at heart. Lets not try to be the *** holes but be firm and vigilant with what we decide to do.

I've been through it. You are pro-illegal so chances are you haven't been through it. I live in a town that used to be beautiful and prosporous. There has been an extreme influx of illegals over the past 10 years. Extremely noticable within the past 5 years. The crime rate has soared and is above and beyond that of NY. It was never that way before......hmm....I wonder who is responsible.
Illegals refuse to pay for their trash to be hauled. They take their trash bags and throw them on street corners, by public trashcans, behind buisness', and recently a mini landfill was found on top of a buisness due to the people in the apartments next door. We are voting today on weather or not to have city wide trash collection so the AMERICAN CITIZENS can pay for the trash that ILLEGAL ALIENS throw all over the place. This is gonna raise my trash bill by about $400 a year. That's not fair.
Illegal aliens do not pay taxes. Next year when I pay my occupational priveledge tax(which has already been raised drastically) I have to pay DOUBLE to make up for the mass amounts of people in the area who are illegally employed and not contributing. That's not fair.
When I was 15 and applied for my work permit, I found out my social security number was already being used to recieve welfare! This caused me a whole lot of aggravation and I had to hold off on being employed until it was taken care of. That's not fair.
Illegal immigrants do NOT come here to have a better life. They come and bring their lifestyle with them. That doesn't better their life, it lowers the quality of mine. That's not fair.
People are a product of their environment. A lot of them come from 3rd world countries. Instead of becoming 1st world citizens, they bring the 3rd world ways of their country with them. They lower the standards and quality of America.

That There Are "Law Abiding" ILLEGAL ALIENS As You Claim -
And Im Sure That
The Many ILLEGAL ALIENS That You Are Friends With
Are Very Nice People
Aside From The Fact That They Are In The USA ILLEGALLY
(Im Sure Mendi8a Probably Do Not Associate With "CRIMINALS")
I Can't Believe It
I Used "Law Abiding" And "ILLEGAL ALIENS"
In The Same Sentence
Somebody Slap Me
You MIGHT Know About 100 ILLEGAL ALIENS Personally
But We Are Talking About 20 MILLION
The Criminal And Economical Statistics Do Not Lie
We Cannot Ignore The Truth
On Behalf Of A Few Exceptions
We Cannot Selectively Enforce Our Laws
DEPORT ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS UPON DISCOVERY
