What is your opinion?
Religious arguements always seem to be self contradicting on this point. In Christianity look at Exodus 21:22 (eye for an eye) vs Matthew 5:38 (turn the other cheek) for example.
Does a society condoning the murder of any one indiviual make all its people murderers?
Is there any defence of corporal punishment that can't also be used to defend genocide (Our society says this person deserves to die = Our society says these people deserve to die) ?

As a highly skilled software engineer I have considered working in the US. However visa restrictions prevent me from travelling to look for a job unless i go on my 90 day visitors visa and if i get a job offered it takes the state department ages to process the paperwork. I am a degree educated UK Anglo Saxon citizen with Family and children and not likely to have links to Al Qaeda and yet it appears that visas are granted easily to Indian subcontinent workers and South east Asians. Why does America treat its closest allies so bad and why can't they fast track visa applicaions for western europeans ?

The danger of mixing evangelicals and politics is that at the end of the day, its a referendum on Jesus when the Haggards of the Christian right bring Jesus into politics. My guess is Christ might love and forgive but would he activly campaign to support one party's candidate. In the end it causes a loss of credibility.

Someone wrote that "The lack of efficacy of our legislative bodies has more to do with our electorate being too apathetic to hold government officials to account for their cavalier attitudes toward important issues" Why is that?

I think unions are a good idea but for the union to marry itself to any political party and force its members to pay a political levi is in my opinion, not right. Unless that is, you have the right to pay into the political party of your choice. Giveing money to the Labour party is not my Idea of progressing the movement and I think unions should not be able to buy favours. What do you think?

Of course I'm referring to the former head of FEMA, whom Bush praised in the midst of the KATRINA hurricane disaster. As he stood in the midst of the greatest natural disaster to strike the American mainland, that is what Bush, as President of the United States, said. Any yet some people want to make an issue of a U.S. Senator who doesn't know how to tell a joke?

Do you think killng two, three or a hundred persons is worst than killing one? I think that one person worth infinite, so killing two persons is still infinitelly bad. The one you killed may could be the next Mozart, the next Jesus or the next Einstein. I think you can`t add the people value. You can't say that killing 10 is better than killing 10000. One of those 10 could be your son. people are not oranges or apples that you can mesure mathematically. If you kill just one, you have already crossed the limit, and beyond that limit, there is no possible measurement.
