Do people REALLY think that asking these kinds of hateful, inflammatory, juvenile questions will persuade people to agree with them?

I work at dennys im a hostess and i put a small sign just reminding people to vote and also telling people not to forget to vote and my boss said i couldnt do that cause it was soliciting but i thought that it was a duty as U.S citizens to vote so how is that soliciting?

I read in the papers the other day Brittans are the most watched people in the world with 1 camera for every 8 people, well I agree about the crime it prevents however is it fair that if needed your entire life could be on record. Now there is talk of black boxes in cars!!! I know that we are all meant to follow laws and be good citizens however can anyone honestly say they have never broken the law just once? So why do Americans and right wingers persistently claim that if you "get educated and work hard" you'll be fine financially? Try telling that to the 1000s of skilled people and graduates working in call centres, resturants and MaccyD's in the UK! Beleive me none of them want to be there. And yes there are some great jobs out there - but NOT ENOUGH TO GO ROUND!!

Set up your own business? Yeah and for every "self made millionaire" how many self-employed end up bankrupt and destitute?

Or the qualified plumbers who can't get work because Polish plumbers are cheaper. Or the trained mechanic who can't get work because Polish mechs are cheaper?

As for "everyone in America works for what they have" oh yeah. What about Paris Hilton and her mates - what did she ever do to earn her fortune other than squeeze herself out of Mrs Hilton's vagina?
