I am a Republican but I never voted for BUSH or any of the other cronies in office.
I like what my republican affiliation stand for but not the power hungry politician it is backing. It is a sad day in the USA when we have no one GOOD to vote for. People did not really look at the man Bush was. Instead they looked at his father and did not look behind the big smile and warm words. How can us Americans be conned so easily?
Bush is a spoon-fed brat (sorry no disrespect intended just the truth). He never did anything out of the Safe box. He was protected through out life by his parents, given everything, he neveer worked a hard day in his life, never knew pain. He says he is religious but instead he is a biggot. He does not practice what he preaches.
He stands on a platform of an aircraft carrier for political gain while our military men and women are still fighting and dieing in a WAR he started. And believe me it had nothing to do with NYC.
I believe in the old saying "that what goes around comes around" and bad energy that you give out comes back to you three fold. He will see soon.

His actions. His efforts. His successes. Read the transcripts of his speeches. He keeps working. He doesn't bend to scare tactics, polls, or media bullying.
The highest priority of a US president - the reason we have presidents - is to protect the nation. Bush takes his job seriously. He protects the nation.
He pulled our country out of a financial dive after we were struck by al qaida. We now have historical economical successes. He even cut the deficit IN HALF.
He crossed parties and instituted social programs in education and health care. He attempted to update social security.
Plenty.

Republicans are largely Fundy Christians and Fundy Christians have been conditioned to suspend their critical thinking and believe whatever they're told by their God appointed leaders, no matter how ridiculous. Rove is a genus. he knew this about the Fundy Evangelicals and he's played them like a fiddle at a political hoedown, all the while snickering behind their backs and calling them loonies. and because Fundy Evangelicals are fiercely loyal to their beliefs it would take truly rubbing their collective nose in neoCON feces before they'd finally smell the deception.

Well, for one--he hasn't gone around jackbooting and killing American citizens. Remember Ruby Ridge? Remember Waco? He has the intestinal fortitude to actively persue and eliminate sworn enemies and attackers rather than just lob a coupla token, ineffectual missiles in some arbitrary direction.

Because he means what says and says what he means. I kind of like that in any human being I meet. I can't stand people who talk out of both sides of their mouth. Even though the bush haters claims he lied and keep repeating it continually ( I guess they figure if they repeat it makes it so) everything he said about Iraq was first repeated by all democrats from Clinton to Kerry you can google them and look it up, so if he lied then everyone lied.

we don't nessacarily trust him with our lives, but we don't distrust him, either. he has proved, time and again (at least to us) that he wants whats best for the country. i don't buy into Bush bashing, and neither should you. don't let the drive-by media dictate how you think!

I trust a president who has the guts to take on 2 brutal regimes 1) The Taliban 2) Saddam Hussein 3) who takes on terrorists despite the hatred of the liberal media 4) who cuts my taxes.
I don't like presidents like Bill Clinton who chase interns, arrest little kids like Elian Gonzalez, burn down American homes, but is afraid of chasing terrorists.

a large majority of republicans need an authoritarian "daddy" figure telling them what's right, no matter how far from reality "daddy" is, as long as he acts confident that he's right, these people will trust him.
