Is your son's nickname trademarked. If not, you don't have a case.

It always amazes me how people try to come up with reasons to sue and get money...do you not have a life? You don't own the nickname, so how in the world do you think you can sue?

no. you can't copyright a name. You can trademark a name, but that is a whole different ballgame and legal matter. Unless you trademarked your son's nickname (or he did) , then no, you can't sue anyone for that.

it's actually not a matter of copyright, but a similiar idea- trademarking, the name needs to be registered as an official trademark, and then action could've taken place.

grow up and get a life. people do not own nicknames. and companies can't always stop people from giving them nicnames

im not certain but you can probably only do it if you've copyrighted your son's nickanme, unlikely
