Well, now that we've had six years of GOP-controlled government, the Christian Right ought to be pretty happy. After all, they've made abortion illegal.

Wait, no, they didn't, did they?

Well, at least they outlawed gay marriage.

Uhm. No, not that either.

But they've guaranteed the right to group prayer in schools, right?

Gee, no.

But they've supported the display of the 10 commandments in public buildings.

Nope, missed that one, too.

Well, at least they've mandated that it's OK to teach Creationism in public schools.

Hmmm. Missed that one, too.

So, have all you people on the Christain Right figured out yet that the Republicans really don't CARE about these issues, all they care about is getting your vote?

Brian, my point is that Evangalicals keep coming back to these issues as key, when in fact, neither side has any intention of doing anything about them. So shouldn't Christians look at other issues, like social justice, homelessness, poverty, hunger, things they CAN do something about? Things that Jesus told us to do?

Republicans are using the promise of these key issues in order to keep conservative Christians voting for them. But they are getting nothing on these key issues, while at the same time putting people in place who don't support social justice programs. Voting Republican is ANTI-Christian!

We get it, it amazes me that the Evangelists don't get it.
Very good question, wouldn't you love to see someone ask them?

Gas prices are higher than ever, minumum wage hasn't gone up, unemployment is high and so many houses are for sale in the low income area I live in, it is ridicoulous. I am in favor of free speech. I say that and hope nobody comes to the door with automatic weapons and a no knock warrant.
You pointed all the negatives of the Republicans in charge, try and be fair about what they have done.

If you think of any, post them.
I guess I am old. I am still in favor of fuel efficient cars, ethanol, and, solar power.
And, freedom of speech without looking over your shoulder.

Now I get to wonder if all the prophets and religious leaders are all hypocrites as Ted Haggard and others whose names I cannot now remember.

yes, well, remember that voting democrat would REALLY get us nowhere. Trust me, I pulled my R on my voter registration because they aren't doing anything. Evangelicals aren't stupid, they just don't have a good option.
