When they recieve food stamps, government housing, and whatever else that gets handed to them...obviously the governement knows that they are residing here, and that they are illegal; so why arent they arrested or just sent back to mexico when they apply for help, instead of being babied? For the Repubs this is about cheap labor so their friends in high places can get rich off the backs of poor people who have very few legal rights. I don't think its right for illegal immigrants to have access to much needed resources that many poor Americans should have...

Our gov't agencies, by intent, are not 'wired' to communicate with each other. INS does not have access to the HEW files, so a person can receive welfare benes without prodding immigration dept.

And it would be nice if the U.S. had the resources to just send them all back to Mexico, but we can't. There are too many of them. It would look less like deportation and more like civil war between hispanic districts and white ones.

not all illegal aliens are from Mexico and not all of them are on welfare. Unfortunately, the US does allow a whole lot of crap to go on because its businesses don't want to pay and illegals settle for less than minimum wage.
